Output growth for 9 months by 40%

In the first nine months of 2023, the MEL plant produced almost 40 percent more products than in the same period in 2022. This was announced on October 19, 2023 by the Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.

Machine-building The Moscow industry continues to develop actively, industrialists are expanding production workshops, increasing production volumes and presenting new products. The capital's elevators and equipment for them are popular with customers both inside and countries in friendly foreign markets. Products are supplied to construction facilities, installed in houses and socially important buildings. Thus, the capital's elevator plant "MEL" in the three quarters of 2023 increased production by 40 percent compared to the same period in 2022. The achievement of such indicators is facilitated, among other things, by the support of the city, - said Vladislav Ovchinsky.

Shop Construction Plan

The capital company, which produces elevator, electrical equipment and transformer substations, will build a production workshop in the east of the capital. The facility will be erected as part of a large-scale investment project (MaIP), for the implementation of which the city leased land to the enterprise without bidding. This was announced on February 17, 2023 by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.

MEL has begun the construction of a new workshop for the production of elevator and switchboard equipment, as well as transformer substations. To implement this large-scale investment project, the city without bidding leased a land plot of 0.7 hectares to an investor in the Golyanovo area. The total volume of investments in the creation of the facility is estimated at more than 400 million rubles, - said Vladimir Efimov.

The Moscow company MEL is one of the full-cycle electrical engineering enterprises in the country. The plant's products are installed at various infrastructure facilities, in residential and socio-cultural buildings of the city. In addition, the company produces elevators, which, among other things, are placed in houses as part of the housing renovation program in Moscow.

The plant's products have an international standard certificate and are not inferior in quality to foreign counterparts. The construction of the production workshop will double the production volume and produce four thousand elevators per year. In addition, after the completion of all work and the commissioning of the facility, 85 people will be able to find a job at the enterprise, "said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

2013

As of September 2013, the MEL Plant produced modern and reliable equipment - from low-voltage electrical switchboards to 6-20 kV switchgears, as well as passenger elevators with a carrying capacity of 400, 630 and 1000 kg.
