The Eurasian Economic Commission, a permanent supranational regulator of the Eurasian Economic Union, began work on February 2, 2012. The EEC includes representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Decisions of the Commission are binding in the countries of the Union.

The agreement on the creation of the Eurasian Economic Union was signed on May 29, 2014, entered into force on January 1, 2015. The Union ensures the freedom of movement of goods, services, capital and labor, the implementation of a coordinated, coordinated or unified policy in various sectors of the economy. The goal of the Union is to provide conditions for the stable development of the economies of the member states in the interests of increasing the living standards of their population, comprehensive modernization, cooperation and increasing the competitiveness of national economies.
The Commission has the status of a supranational governing body. The organization is not subordinate to any of the governments of the three countries. The main task of the EEC is to ensure the conditions for the functioning and development of the Customs Union and the Unified Economic Space, as well as to develop proposals for the further development of integration. The EEC is transferred the powers of the abolished Commission of the Customs Union (KTS).

- The Eurasian Intergovernmental Economic Council is a body consisting of heads of government of member states.
- The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission is a body that includes deputy prime ministers of member states.

2021: Appointment of Varos Simonyan as Minister for Internal Markets, Informatization, ICT
By the decision of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, Varos Harutyunovich Simonyan was appointed to the post of Member of the Board (Minister) on domestic markets, informatization, information and communication technologies of the Eurasian Economic Commission . 2017
Annual Report
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) published the Annual Report on its activities in 2017 and plans for 2018[1].
"Last year, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) entered the trajectory of sustainable economic growth, built foreign trade priorities and began digital transformation of a single space," said Tigran Sargsyan, Chairman of the EEC Board. - This is the result of well-coordinated work of the national authorities, integration structures of the EAEU and the business community. The main indicators of the economy of the Union countries have noticeably increased. The EAEU GDP increased by 1.8% compared to last year, the volume of mutual trade - by 26.1% and foreign trade - by 24.4%. I believe that we will be able to achieve even greater economic success thanks to joint digital policy. " |
- One of the most important results of the year was the signing of the EAEU Customs Code, which was developed on the basis of the most modern approaches to customs administration.
- An important milestone in 2017 was also the launch of common markets for drugs and medical devices, the functioning of which ensures the free movement of safe, effective and high-quality drugs in the states of the Union according to general rules.
- Six technical regulations of the EAEU were adopted, a number of important decisions in the fields of financial policy and trade, industry and the agro-industrial complex, transport and power, manufacturers from the Union countries were actively protected from dumping attempts by foreign companies.
- Particular attention was paid to building mutually beneficial relations with trading partners. The Commission considers the foreign economic agenda as an opportunity to expand sales markets for goods and services from the Union countries and import modern technologies and attract investments.
- The first results of the work of the free trade zone between the EAEU and Vietnam were summed up. Exports of goods of the Union countries to Vietnam increased by 39.5% compared to 2016, imports of Vietnamese products increased by 34.7%.
- Presidents of member states have identified a number of priority negotiation tracks. In 2017, negotiations on the conclusion of trade agreements with Iran and China were at the final stage, which allowed them to be signed in May 2018. In addition, the EAEU intends to form free trade zones with Israel, Singapore, Serbia, India and Egypt.

In accordance with the annual rotation in 2017, Kyrgyzstan presides over the bodies of the Union. President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev is the Chairman of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
