Biography

Born on November 5, 1976 in the city of Kuibyshev (since 1991 - Samara) of the Samara region.

2018: Ministry of Transport of Russia

Since August 6, 2018 - First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, full state adviser to the Russian Federation of the 3rd class.

2019-2020

At the end of October 2020, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin dismissed First Deputy Minister of Transport Innokenty Alafinov at his request. This is stated in the order of the government, published on the portal of legal information.

Alafinov has held this post since 2018. In 2019, he said that the metro is not operationally unprofitable only in Moscow. The rest of the cities and regions, in his opinion, "do not pull this business," so Alafinov proposed to develop tram communication as an alternative.

2024: Appointment as CEO of Transfin-M leasing company

On September 30, 2024, the Transfin-M press service announced the appointment of Innokenty Alafinov as the new CEO of the company. He will officially begin his duties on October 1, 2024.

According to Interfax, citing a statement by Transfin-M, Alafinov was elected general director of the company for three years. The board of directors of the leasing company prematurely terminated the powers of the current head of the company, Maxim Anishchenkov, who led it from November 2018 to June 2023, and then was re-elected in October 2023.
