Career

2022: Appointment as Minister of Information Technology and Communications of Nizhny Novgorod Region

In early June 2022, it became known about the appointment of Alexander Sinelobov as the new Minister of Information Technologies and Communications of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. He replaced Sergei Efimov, who headed the regional department for about four years. Efimov in January 2022 moved to a new place of work in Moscow.

The press service governments of the Nizhny Novgorod region reported that the new minister was chosen as a result of competitive procedures within the framework of the Government Team program. 79 applications from candidates from 17 regions were submitted for the competition. In addition to the Nizhny Novgorod region, applications were received from candidates from Moscow both the Moscow region,,, and St. Petersburg Kazan Novosibirsk Ufa other regions.

The choice was difficult, because the future leader faces ambitious and large-scale tasks for the development of the IT sphere, in particular, for the digitalization of business processes in those sectors of the economy where IT is the main driver of digital transformation, - said the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin.

It is noted that Alexander Sinelobov will have to oversee import substitution in the IT sphere in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the provision cyber security IT infrastructures and development of digital services for the population.

According to Gleb Nikitin, Alexander Sinelobov knows IT well - the industry of the Nizhny Novgorod region and will be able to effectively implement the tasks set. On June 3, 2022, the new head of the regional ministry of information was presented to the Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadayev.[1]
