Biography

Was born in Moscow.

Education

Graduated from Military engineering institute of a name Mozhaisk majoring in "ballistics" (1984) and Financial academy at the Government of the Russian Federation in "banking" (1996).

Career

In 1984-1994 worked in one of closed by Scientific Research Institute Ministry of Defence.

In 1994 began to work for MICEX where there passed the way from the leading economist to the director of the department of government securities and instruments of the money market.

In 2005 passed into National Depository Center (NDC) Ltd to a position of the associate director.

On November 27, 2009 became the CEO of NDTs.

After reorganization of NDTs on November 10, 2010 headed board of the organization legal successor — National Settlement Depositary Ltd.

As of January 30, 2013 holds a post of the chairman of the board of NPO of NSD Ltd.

In 2015 it was elected the candidate of Russia for Board of Directors of the international payment system of SWIFT, having become the first representative of the Russian Federation as a part of light.

On June 18, 2018 Eddie Astanin, the chairman of the board of National settlement depositary, is re-elected by the candidate of Russia for Board of Directors of a system of interbank transfers SWIFT. Eddie Astanin was nominated by the solution of the General meeting of Rossvift in the structure of Board of Directors of SWIFT.

Candidate of Technical Sciences.

Author and coauthor about 40 publications of financial subject.

It is awarded with the degree medal "For Faultless Service in Armed Forces of the USSR" III.

Hobby

Is fond of swimming.

He is married, two children.
