Pavel Demidov was born on May 13, 1983. Candidate of Political Sciences, Acting State Adviser of the Russian Federation, 2nd class.

Education

2003 - graduated with honors from the Faculty of Political Science of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia) of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) (MGIMO). In 2005 - with honors master's degree from MGIMO University.

2005-2010 - leading specialist, head of the Department of Scientific Projects of the Office of Scientific Policy of MGIMO-University. In 2010-2012 - Assistant Rector of MGIMO University.

2012 - defended his thesis on "Social capital as a factor in the effectiveness of the presidential election campaign in Russia and the USA: the role and technology of use."

Career

2012-2018

2012-2016 - Advisor to Alexei Leonidovich Kudrin in the Kudrin Foundation to support civil initiatives.

2016-2018 - Assistant Chairman of the Council of the Center for Strategic Research (CSR), Head of the Communications Policy Department of the CSR.

In June 2018, he was appointed Assistant Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation.

Since July 2018 - Director of the Department of External Communications of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation.

2022: Transfer to work at Yandex

On September 29, 2022, it became known about the appointment of Pavel Demidov as head of the department for relations with government agencies (GR) at Yandex.

At the end of September 2022, RBC announced the appointment, citing sources close to the company and the Accounts Chamber. According to the newspaper, Demidov resigned from the Accounts Chamber about a week ago, after which he immediately moved to the place of the head of GR in Yandex.

Demidov has worked with the current head of the Accounts Chamber Alexei Kudrin since 2012 - he was his adviser to the Foundation for the Support of Civil Initiatives. One of RBC's sources claims that Kudrin may also move to Yandex in the coming months:
