On the formation of three separate areas of activity in the UserGate Monitoring and Response Center
UserGate Big changes are planned at the Monitoring and Response Centre (MRC). In particular, three separate areas of activity are being formed - expertise, SOC and/or. Such auditconsulting INFORMATION SECURITY information was TAdviser shared with representatives of UserGate in November 2023.
As the director of MRC UserGate Dmitry Kuzevanov specified, the first direction - expertise - already exists. MRC engineers are improving UserGate products, making them more modern and efficient. They investigate current threats, vulnerabilities, exploits and other important information that should be taken into account in products. All this is reflected in new functionality, signatures, filtering lists and compromise indices.
I would say that engineers are constantly increasing and training the immunity of products so that later they can most effectively withstand current attacks and threats, - said the top manager. |
Also, among the tasks of MRC, there is already an examination of the use of UserGate products. Experts know how to best apply and configure UserGate solutions in organizations, and taking into account the IT infrastructure, which is completely different for everyone.
The second direction is SOC. As I said, this is primarily about ensuring your own security. We are doing everything to prevent attackers from successfully attacking us and our customers. We also plan to develop this area as a service (SOC-as-a-Service). Customers will receive high-level services. And at the same time, they will not have to spend tens of millions to create their SOC with dubious efficiency. |
In addition, MRC plans to begin providing information security audit and consulting services to companies. This area includes assessing the security of the organization, consulting on the architecture of information systems from the point of view of information security, the use of UserGate information protection tools and others.
