Career

2019

Until 2019, Nikolai Galushin headed the Russian Reinsurance Company (RNPK). Later, he headed two structures of Rostec: the consumer mutual insurance society RT-Mutual Insurance and the insurance broker Rostec.

2023: Appointment as CEO of NSIS

On April 13, 2023, it became known about the appointment of Nikolai Galushin as General Director of National Insurance Information System JSC (NSIS), a company created by the Bank of Russia for the development of an automated information system (AIS) of insurance.

Several sources in the insurance market told Interfax that Galushin headed the NSIS. Galushin himself confirmed the information about his appointment to the Central Bank. According to him, the creating information system, containing data on all insurance contracts in a verified and undistorted format, will give both the user (policyholder), government agencies, and insurers the opportunity to operate with this data for the purpose of more accurate assessment and charging of risks, forming the history of insurance, combating insurance fraud. It will be easier for insurers to create design products aimed at a specific insurance user. All this in aggregate will contribute to the popularization of insurance, the development of the industry, the growth of confidence in insurers, information, and stimulate the development of related services, he said.

The head of the NSIS added that by mid-April 2023, the assessment of the cost of AIS OSAGO and the development of a model of the target infrastructure of the future operator and the division of functional blocks between the operator and the PCA is ending. Next, negotiations will begin between the operator and the PCA on the details of the upcoming deal.^[1]
