2025: Appointment as Managing Partner of ВЭБ.РФ
On March 17, 2025, Alexander Pavlov ВЭБ.РФ appointed to the post of chief managing partner of the Russian state development corporation. Previously, he served as General Director of the Russian Fund for the Development of Information Technologies (RFRIT, ВЭБ.РФ Group).
Pavlov in ВЭБ.РФ will focus on the implementation of projects related to the use of artificial intelligence technologies. The state corporation is implementing a new development strategy until 2030, which includes a number of priority areas: these are, in particular, large investment projects, strong settlements and geostrategic regions, technological leadership and sovereignty, export support and entrepreneurship.
Specialized development institutes of the ВЭБ.РФ group, including Skolkovo, will help in achieving technological leadership. In early 2025, a new unit will be created on the basis of the Skolkovo Foundation, which will carry out the agency functions of the Government of the Russian Federation to coordinate science in the field of AI. This platform is expected to strengthen the dialogue between science, state and business, bring many new ideas and give impetus to the development of large and promising projects.
Among Skolkovo participants, more than 900 companies develop and implement various solutions using AI technologies. Most projects are related to medicine and information security. Skolkovo residents are also actively developing solutions for industries with high potential for using artificial intelligence technologies - industry, construction, logistics, agriculture, aviation and others.
