Biography
Born July 1, 1983 in Yakutsk.
In 2005 he graduated from Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics (MESI) with a degree in applied informatics (in economics) and the Yakutsk Institute in Moscow with a degree in Organization Management.
From 2004 to 2015 - worked in various positions at the Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics.
In 2015-2018 - Director of the Situation Center for the Socio-Economic Development of the Regions of the Russian Federation of the Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov.
In 2018-2019 - Headed the Center for Statistics and Data Science of the PRUE named after G.V. Plekhanova.
In the summer of 2019, he moved to Rosstat, becoming an adviser to the head of the department, Pavel Malkov.

The results of the first stage of the census should appear before May 31, 2022, the second - until December 31, 2022. Various polls and reviews in social networks showed that the census takers did not reach everyone, and the virtual census on the public services portal caused difficulties for some.
2023: General Director of the Center for Strategic Research
On November 15, 2023, by the decision of the Council of the Center for Strategic Research Foundation, Pavel Smelov was approved as General Director of the CSR.
The Center for Strategic Research will undergo a "reboot." Market trends, the need to explore and build a systematic dialogue between business and the state on an independent platform pose new tasks for the Center for Strategic Research, said Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Council of the CSR Fund.
According to him, over the years of its existence, the CSR has been tightly incorporated into the internal work of large organizations, corporations and, most importantly, the Government of the Russian Federation. A lot of calculations are made through transport projects, urban planning, climate. And it is important that the key center for decision-making is made in the CSR.
The Center for Strategic Research needs to focus primarily on solving practical, applied issues subordinate to the tasks of the supply economy. It should become a leading platform for building a dialogue and finding solutions for society, business and the state, "said Maxim Reshetnikov. |
