Was born on March 22, 1965 in the item Lipovo, Gusevsky district, the Kaliningrad region, Russia.

In 1996 left from the Kaliningrad region to Moscow.

In 2003 returned to the Kaliningrad region.

Education

Studied at school No. 4 of the city of Gusev.

In 1980 - 1983 - studied on average technical training college No. 17 of the city of Gusev from which Gas and arc welder graduated majoring in.

1988: LSHI

1988 - studied in the Kaliningrad branch of the Leningrad agricultural institute (Polessk) (since 1992 - the St. Petersburg state agricultural university) at agronomical faculty, but it was deducted.

In 1997 - 1999 - studied at the Higher school of privatization and entrepreneurships (Moscow) from which graduated majoring in Law.

2002: KGTU of A.N. Tupolev - the candidate of psychological sciences

Candidate of psychological sciences.

In 2002 defended the dissertation at the Kazan state technical university of A.N. Tupolev (since 2009 - the Kazan national research technical university of A.N. Tupolev) on the subject "The Purposes and Motives of Activity of the Manager as the Factors Influencing His Emotional Burning Out".

Career

1983

Mikrodvigatel plant

In 1983 after the termination of school worked as the electric welder at the Mikrodvigatel plant in Gusev.

Military Service

In 1983 - 1985 - passed underwent conscription service in Armed forces of the USSR in the Central group of the Soviet troops in Czechoslovakia as a part of battalion of protection of space communication.

1985: Eaglet camp

After service by the decision of Gusevsky city committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League (AULYCL) it was sent to leaders to summer camp Eaglet.

1986: ALL-UNION LENINIST YOUNG COMMUNIST LEAGUE

Since 1986 worked as the released deputy secretary of committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League of state farm of Romanovo of the Zelenograd district of the Kaliningrad region. Then - the instructor of the Gusevsky city town committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League: headed council of young specialists and supervised agriculture.

1990: Construction company "Lava"

In the early nineties was engaged in business. Created construction Lava company which was engaged in repair work in Gusev, later participated in the organization of joint rossiysko-Polish the enterprises on to woodworking.

2000: Tekhinvestmed

Since 2000 worked as the lawyer in the Moscow Tekhinvestmed Scientific and Technological Center Ltd (specialized in trade in the medical equipment). Some time was a founder of this firm.

2003: Created and headed Amatel Group

In 2003 created and headed Amatel group (the main direction - sewing production).

2005: Mayor Guseva

In 2005 - 2010 - the mayor Guseva. On April 17, 2005 in the second round it was elected the head of administration of the Gusevsky Municipal District municipal entity, 57.58% of voters voted for it (stood as self-promotion).

In March, 2009 - October, 2010 held a position of the chairman of "Council of Municipal Entities of the Kaliningrad Region" Association.

2010

From July 26, 2010 to September, 2011 - the secretary of political council of the Kaliningrad regional department of a batch United Russia.

Governor of the Kaliningrad region

On August 16, 2010 - will propose from United Russia as the candidate for a position of the governor of the Kaliningrad region instead of Georgy Boos.

On August 23, 2010 - his candidate on an uncontested basis was introduced by the President Russia Dmitry Medvedev to the Kaliningrad region duma for granting of power to the governor of the region.

August 30, 2010. The Kaliningrad region duma approved him as the head of the region on representation Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. On September 28, 2010 officially entered a position.

In 2010 - 2016 - the governor of the Kaliningrad region.

On December 28, 2010 - submitted the plan of the actions for five years. He announced the purposes on which it is necessary to concentrate efforts of the regional cabinet.

For 2010 the policy of area is aimed at the development and upgrade of the industry, infrastructure, agriculture and housing and public utilities. Special attention is paid to a demographic situation and problems in the field of rendering medical services.

On September 28, 2010 it is re-elected as the governor of the Kaliningrad region for up to September 28, 2015.

On August 4, 2011 - took part in testing of the new equipment for processing of ballots in election commission of the Kaliningrad region[1].

On September 13, 2011 - took part in thematic section "New Economy" 12 of the All-Russian congress of United Russia which took place in Moscow. Development of clusters in economy became one of discussion subjects on section. According to the governor Nikolay Tsukanov, the amber industry should become option of one of the economic directions in the Kaliningrad region. The head of the region repeatedly brought up this subject during the meetings with the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and the Prime minister of the country Vladimir Putin[2].

On October 1, 2011 - took part in the stock "Million Trees" initiated by regional department of a batch United Russia and supported by the government of the region and administrations of municipalities[3].

On October 6, 2011 - took part in work of the III All-Russian Forum "Infrastructure projects of Russia: partnership of business and the power"[4].

On December 23, 2011 - participated in a ceremony of opening of the movement of the motor transport along the second trestle bridge in Kaliningrad[5].

On February 26, 2012 - became the guest of a holiday of Maslenitsa who passed in the Central park of Kaliningrad. Opening a ceremony on the Singing field, Nikolay Tsukanov in the forgiven day of Pancake Week on a folk custom with bow asked forgiveness for residents of Kaliningrad, all residents of the area: "If something did not manage to be made, surely together we will make", -[6] told[6].

On July 18, 2012 - participated in the opening ceremony of kindergarten in the Guryev area[7].

On October 7, 2012 - participated in the opening ceremony of the anniversary X FIFA World Cup among disabled amputees and looked at the first game "Russia-Argentina"[8].

On October 31, 2012 - participated in the international forum of the innovative development "Open innovations" which was taking place in Moscow[9].

On June 27, 2015 Nikolay Tsukanov was ahead of schedule dismissed by the decree of the Russian President Vladimir Putin from a post of the governor and appointed the acting as the head of the Kaliningrad region.

On September 13, 2015 won a victory on elections of the governor of the Kaliningrad region, having collected 70.41% of votes (it was put forward by a batch United Russia). On September 21 the same year the inauguration ceremony was held.

On July 28, 2016 the Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted early resignation of Nikolay Tsukanov from a post of the governor of the Kaliningrad region.

2016: Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northwestern Federal District

On June 26, 2016 it was appointed the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northwestern Federal District.

Since 2016 - the Valid state councilor of the Russian Federation of the I class.

2017: Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation

On December 25, 2017 the President of Russia Vladimir Putin appointed Nikolay Tsukanov the assistant concerning local government.

2018: Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District

Since June 26, 2018 - the Russian President's Plenipotentiary in the Ural federal district.

2020

Dismissal of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District

On November 9, 2020 it became known that Tsukanov Nikolay Nikolaevich is dismissed the Russian President's Plenipotentiary in the Ural federal district. The relevant decree was signed by the Russian President Vladimir Putin and became effective in day of its signing.

Senior vice president of Rostelecom

Nikolay Tsukanov is appointed the senior vice president of Rostelecom for digitalization of the industry and forestry. Rostelecom reported about it to TAdviser on November 17, 2020. At the same time the vice president of Rostelecom for industry digitalization Dmitry Proskura saved the post.[10]

Hobby - active holiday, hunting, fishing.

He is married, two sons: Yury (was born in 1987) and Nikolay (was born in 2012).
