Over the next year, the Russian division of Microsoft Business Solutions (Navision) was recognized as the most successful in the world, for which Vladislav was awarded the prestigious Eagle Award and invited to the company's headquarters in the United States for the position of senior director for work with independent software developers (ISV).

2009: Head of SAP CIS
In September 2009, Martynov received an offer to take the position of Managing Director of SAP CIS. In this position, Martynov was responsible for strategic planning and improving the operational efficiency of the company and sales, as well as for customer relations, consulting, services and general improvement of the company's performance in Russia and the CIS countries. The SAP CIS team led by Vladislav expanded the company's presence in the market by entering new client segments and for two consecutive years showed revenue growth of 25%, despite the general economic downturn.
One of the goals set by SAP for the Russian office in the summer of 2009 was to grow business in the crisis market by expanding its presence in the financial and public sectors, as well as among small and medium-sized enterprises (Small and Medium Business, SMB). This goal was met in 2010. SAP sales in the SMB segment increased by 69.8% (the company began to actively sell products through partners - system integrators), in the public sector - by 250%, among banks - by 370%. And the largest was the contract with Gazprom - about 100 million euros for five years. Largely thanks to him, SAP managed to surpass the turnover growth rates from the sale of software (+ 84% in 2010) of competitors - Oracle and 1C, market participants assumed.
On May 25, 2011, it became known that Martynov was leaving SAP CIS. According to him, the contract with the world's largest developer of business software was signed in July 2009 and did not provide for a specific date for the expiration of powers. But the top manager decided to leave next week, which he notified the headquarters on May 24. He says he is interested in the opportunity to work as an independent director on the boards of a number of Russian companies: "I am considering some very interesting proposals, but working at SAP does not allow me to combine my current position with them."
He did not disclose the names of the companies, although he noted that he was ready to discuss proposals that would allow combining work on the board of directors outside the company, for example, with the position of the general director.
Martynov's departure came as a surprise to many Russian SAP partners. A week before, Martynov made a presentation at the SAP partnership conference in Germany and nothing foreshadowed his departure, one of them was surprised.
SAP partners interviewed by Vedomosti doubted that the desire to gain experience as an independent director was the main reason for Martynov's departure from SAP[1]. Martynova may not have been satisfied with the restriction of powers, suggested a top manager of one of the companies implementing SAP products. This is a very bureaucratic company with a complex management system, he said; the general director of the Russian office cannot even give instructions to his subordinates - they are waiting for a directive from the headquarters. This version was shared by one of the SAP employees. The other two partners, on the contrary, assumed that Martynov's resignation was the result of rejection of part of his initiatives at SAP headquarters.
"For me, this is very unpleasant news" - this is how the president of the IT holding reacted to the information about Martynov's departure. " LANIT George Gens The general director of the system integrator (IBS a large seller of SAP products) also regretted this: "You Sergey Matsotsky could work with Martynov."
On June 23, 2011, a video appeared on YouTube in which top managers of SAP CIS performed a song to their own words with the chorus of the Nautilus Pompilius group "Chained by one chain"[2]. The main character of the video was Vladislav Martynov, who headed SAP CIS in 2009 and had recently resigned. According to representatives of SAP CIS, the clip was created for internal use and was not intended for open publication. The company found it difficult to name the exact budget of the video, estimating it at several thousand dollars. The link to the clip was published by Vladislav Martynov himself on his Twitter, accompanying him with the following comment: "The video with the help of which it was possible to unite and inspire the SAP CIS team to achieve super goals."
According to the script of the clip, Martynov holds a meeting with the heads of departments of the Russian office of SAP (among them, for example, Customer Service Director Igor Bogachev) and announces the goal that "they" (probably management) set for employees. The goal is 150 million (probably dollars).
Top managers characterize this figure as "avral," "kick" and mocking people. But Martynov urges employees not to give up and they agree: "we strive for success until we lose our minds, because we love to work around the clock," "we can reach 300 million, we can easily find another hundred Gazprom."
Andrey Klychev, Chief Financial Officer of SAP CIS, temporarily took over as Managing Director of SAP CIS.
"I would like to thank Mr. Martynov for his contribution to the SAP business and note the successes made under the leadership of Vladislav in the field of business growth and transformation, as well as strengthening SAP's position in the CIS markets," commented on the decision of Vladislav Martynov Bernd Kraus, Executive Director of SAP EMEA Emerging Markets, SAP AG.
Obviously, the reason for the departure of Vladislav Martynov from his post lies not in his professional failures, since under his leadership the company demonstrated high growth rates. 2010 was a record year for SAP in Russia. The turnover of its Russian division increased by 53%, including from the sale of software - by 84%. One of the reasons is a large contract with Gazprom.
2011: Operational Management at Yota Devices
The next investment object of Vladislav Martynov was a project to create the first Russian smartphone, where on August 20, 2011, Yota Devices Ltd took over operational management. In five years, a global business was built with a capitalization of $154 million. Two versions of the YotaPhone were released with screens: LCD and EPD, and smartphone sales unfolded in twenty countries around the world.
In 2015, Martynov invested in the Iceberg Analytics project, a cloud service to increase the efficiency of managing hockey clubs and help the coaching staff improve the quality of the game.
At the end of July 2016, it became known about the departure of Vladislav Martynov from the post of general director of the smartphone manufacturer Yota Devices. It was reported that this position will be taken by the operating director of the company Dmitry Moiseev.
Yota Devices wrote about the change of head Vedomosti with reference to a letter sent to the company's employees by a member of its board of directors, Ekaterina Lapshina. She said that Martynov will continue to cooperate with the company, participating in strategic management as a member of the board of directors.
The change of leadership of Yota Devices was the result of the entry into the shareholders of China Baoli. Representatives of this Chinese company, together with Martynov, will create conditions for the development of Yota Devices in China by the time the third generation YotaPhone is released, and Moiseev will coordinate the development team of this device in Europe and China, said Ekaterina Lapshina.
An acquaintance of Martynov, referred to by Vedomosti, believed that the reason for the resignation of the CEO of Yota Devices was disagreements with one of the shareholders of a personal nature rather than a worker.
Vladislav Martynov himself denied any conflicts with shareholders and admits that he had long wanted to move away from the leadership of the Russian operating business, as he was more busy with the strategy and development of the company in the international market. Yota Devices has an operating director in the USA, China, and now the Russian legal entity, Martynov noted.
He also added that he will become the CEO responsible for the entire international business of Yota Devices and the development of YotaPhone 3, and will also retain membership in the company's board of directors.
As of January 2017, Martynov is a minority shareholder in Yota Devices with a 10% stake. In addition, his investment portfolio includes projects such as WildApricot, a cloud service for automating non-profit organizations, BlockGeeks, a social platform that brings together blockchain professionals, Iceberg.hockey sports analytics platform and a number of other projects.

Both public access points and home routers around the world are supposed to be connected to the World Wi-Fi network currently under testing. Internet access for users will be free of charge. According to Martynov's representatives, a full-fledged launch of the project in the world is scheduled for July 2018.
