Biography
Igor Wolfson was born in 1967.
In 1991 he graduated from Mordovian State University. N. P. Ogarev with a degree in Industrial Electronics.
He began working in the communications industry in 1995 - as an engineer at the Saransk GTS in Svyazinform in Mordovia (later - a branch of VolgaTelecom in Mordovia). In 2005, he was appointed deputy chief engineer of the branch in Mordovia.
In 2007-2008 he worked in a branch in the Udmurt Republic VolgaTelecom.
Later he took the post of Deputy General Director of the VolgaTelecom branch in Mordovia. In this position, Wolfson replaced Ivan Shubin, who went to work as an adviser to the branch director.
In 2013, he took the post of director of the Rostelecom branch in Mordovia.
2018: Minister of Informatization and Communications of Mordovia
In July 2018, Igor Wolfson was appointed Minister of Informatization and Communications of Mordovia. The head of the Republic of Mordovia, Vladimir Volkov, introducing the new minister to the leaders[1] municipal districts, expressed confidence that Wolfson would successfully cope with the solution of the tasks assigned to him, regional media[2].
According to the Saransk portal Stolica-s.su, one of the tasks is the launch of full-scale broadcasting in Mordovia. From January 2019, the analog signal will be available only in Saransk, later all areas of the region should switch to "digital."
Oleg Sokolov, Wolfson's predecessor, was appointed First Deputy Minister of Informatization and Communications of the Republic of Mordovia - Head of the Digital Development Department.
