In 2002-2008 he worked as the third secretary, the second secretary of the Embassy of Belarus in the Republic of Korea.
In 2008-2011 he was the first secretary, adviser to the Asia department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

In 2011-2016 - Advisor to the Embassy of Belarus in the Republic of Korea.
In 2016-2018 - Head of the Department of Africa, Deputy Head of the Department of Africa and the Middle East of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2025: Appointment as Minister of Communications and Informatization of Belarus
In early March 2025, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko appointed Kirill Zalessky as the new Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic. In this position, he replaced Konstantin Shulgan, who headed the ICT department since August 2018.
Before becoming Minister of Communications and Informatization of Belarus, Kirill Zalessky served as Deputy Head of the High-Tech Park.
