2021: Charge of multimillion-dollar embezzlement of investment money

On September 2, 2021, it became known that director Institute for Technological Development of the Rocket and Space Industry MSTU "Stankin" Grigory Zusev was detained To Moscow as part of a criminal investigation into multimillion-dollar embezzlement of investment money. According to TASS a law enforcement source, the head of one of the institutes of a prestigious university countries was sent under house arrest.

During the operational-search measures in Moscow industries Moscow state , Zusev Grigory Yuryevich, director of the Institute for Technological Development of the Stankin Rocket and Space Technological University, was detained as part of a criminal case on fraud on an especially large scale. After conducting investigative actions with him, investigators petitioned one of the capital's courts to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to the detainee, the source said. - The court chose the suspect house arrest.

In turn, the press service of the Tver Court of Moscow TASS clarified that Zusev was placed under house arrest until the beginning of October.

The decision of the Tver District Court of Moscow against Zusev, suspected of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code ("Fraud on a large scale") chose a preventive measure in the form of house arrest for one month and seven days, that is, until October 2, - said the representative of the court.

Thus, the court refused to arrest the suspect, choosing him a softer preventive measure.

According to another source of the agency, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation initiated a pre-investigation check against officials of the Moscow University by the investigating authorities, which announced the signs of crimes under the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

We are talking about the damage caused to the state by the actions of Stankin officials in the amount of several hundred million rubles, which was expressed in the construction, or even delay, of work, failure to fulfill the volumes established by the state contract, as well as fictitious contracts, the source said.

According to him, the amount of damage can increase to 500 million rubles.
