2020: Plans to produce unmanned tiltrotors in conjunction with Aeroxo
Holding Roselectronics"" of the State Corporation Rostec , together Russian startup with the company Aeroxo , will launch the production of robotic tiltrotors. They can be used for transportation cargo, ice control in the regions of the Far North, as well as as part of complex projects for monitoring long-term facilities. critical infrastructure Rostec announced this on June 17, 2020.
The parties plan to unite efforts in the development and mass production of unmanned aerial vehicles. The corresponding agreement was signed by the general director of the Vega concern (part of Roselectronics) Vyacheslav Mikheev and the general director of Aeroxo Eldar Razroev.
| The drone market is growing at a rapid pace. At the same time, tiltrotors are one of the most promising types of UAVs. The combination of copter and aircraft advantages makes them versatile and capable of a very wide range of tasks, allowing them to claim tangible market share. By 2025, we predict revenue growth in this segment to 1 billion rubles per year. Combining competencies in the field of development and production allows us to accelerate the achievement of these goals, - said Vyacheslav Mikheev, General Director of the Vega concern. |
At the first stage, Vega's facilities will mass-produce Aeroxo-developed convertiplane drones of the Era family. They are able to stay in the air for more than 3 hours and carry a payload of up to 7 kg. A tiltrotor with a carrying capacity of up to 80 kg for solving logistics problems is also in development.
| Cooperation between Vega and Aeroxo will allow companies to take a large share of the existing unmanned aircraft systems market and enter other markets. The expertise that Vega possesses will help adapt existing solutions for other applications and launch mass production of unmanned systems based on tiltrotor planes in a short time, "said Aeroxo CEO Eldar Razroev. |
A tiltrotor is an aircraft with rotary engines that during take-off and landing operate as lifting (like a helicopter or copter), and in horizontal flight become "aircraft" - pulling or pushing, as a result of which it does not need a runway or a specialized launch system.
As part of Rostec, the Vega concern, which is part of Roselectronics, is implementing projects to create unmanned aerial vehicles of various types and aviation monitoring systems.
