Switches are used CPUs at 700 MHz for DGS-1210-52_52MP and 500 MHz for other models. The increased flash memory allows you to load two configuration files and two copies of the built-in file into the device. ON Models with 20, 28 and 52 ports are equipped with 4 combo ports 100/1000Base-T/SFP instead of 4 SFP ports of the previous hardware version. Added support for static routing/(IPv4v6 124/50 routes), Inter VLAN Routing, 4 IP interfaces and protection of connections using the 802.1s MSTP protocol.

To deploy video surveillance systems, the functionality of automatic detection of network cameras, DVRs and other equipment with ONVIF support is implemented. The switch automatically recognizes the connected ONVIF device and assigns it to a separate VLAN while maintaining the previously defined QoS settings and the ability to classify packets by MAC address, IP address, protocol type, Ether type field, and other parameters.

The DGS-1210 series switches are managed and configured through a web interface, simplified command line interface (CLI), SNMP protocol, or D-View 7 software for centralized network infrastructure management over SNMP. To increase the efficiency and convenience of using switches in video surveillance systems, the hardware version implements a separate mode of operation of the web interface, which clearly displays the number and types of connected equipment, port status, PoE power budgets (common, available, consumed by a particular port), enabling power on and off to a particular port, diagnosing problems in the system, including loop detection, cable break, and PoE power failure.

Switches of this version support fault tolerance functionality:

  • Loopback Detection,
  • 802.3ad Link Aggregation, 802.1D STP, 802.1w RSTP,
  • security (ACL, IP-MAC-Port Binding, Port Security, access control 802.1X based on ports), network segmentation,
  • VLANs (256 VLAN groups, Auto Voice VLANs, Auto Surveillance VLANs),
  • traffic monitoring
  • cable diagnostics.
