The company plans to complete the construction and put the data center into operation in the third quarter of 2017, Safedata explained.
The cost of the project in the company is not disclosed. It is known from the public procurement website that at the end of November 2016, the company announced a request for proposals for the supply of shield equipment (electric motors, generators, transformers, etc., 86 pieces) in the amount of approximately 110 million rubles. In addition, the company is looking for a contractor for the supply of 6 sets of diesel uninterruptible power supplies with a nominal capacity of 2200 kVA - in the amount of 500 million rubles.

Recall that Rostelecom, which owns the Safedata control stake, according to the results of 2015, is the largest data center service provider in Russia. As a result of the consolidation of assets under his brand, several large data centers merged at once. As of December 2016, Rostelecom has 22 data centers in Russia.
It is worth noting that at the end of October 2016, Rostelecom-Data Center signed an agreement with the structure of Rostec Corporation - RT-Inform. The state corporation plans to use the services of Rostelecom data centers and place part of the IT infrastructure of its industrial enterprises in them. For example, the Russian Helicopters holding plans to do this among the first. [1]
Safedata did not confirm that the construction of the new Moscow-3 data center is a direct consequence of this agreement.
Both corporate and state customers are located in the data centers, it is impossible to say that the project is being implemented for the needs of specific customers. The implementation of the construction project began long before the signing of a cooperation agreement with RT-Inform, "Dmitry Egorov explained. |
