Dell Precision Performance Optimizer (DPPO) is the software of automatic adjustment of parameters of Dell Precision workstations for obtaining maximum capacity when using applications of design and creation of digital content.

DPPO is offered together with profiles of settings for programs Autodesk Maya, PTC Creo and Dassault SolidWorks. After start the program automatically configures system settings, optimizing the workstation. Advance system maintenance, monitoring and the notification on loading indicators are among additional functions that helps users of workstations of vendor to reduce time for design and rendering.

Dell Precision Performance Optimizer is preset on Dell Precision T1650, T3600, T5600, T7600, M4700 and M6700 workstations with the Windows 7 operating systems (32 and 64 bits) and Windows 8 (64 bits) is free. Customers who purchased workstations of T1650, T3600, T5600, T7600, M4700 and M6700 series can download the application on the website of vendor.

Setup profiles in English are available further to applications: Autodesk Maya, PTC Creo, Dassault SolidWorks with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Media Encoder.

2018: Release of version 5.0

The Dell company announced on May 8, 2018 release of software of Dell Precision Optimizer of version 5.0 in which the artificial intelligence is used for automatic adjustment and ensuring high performance of the applications run at Dell Precision workstations.

The opportunities implemented in version 5.0:

• Individual optimization of applications
  • Dell Precision Optimizer studies behavior of each application run in the background and uses these data with the trained model which automatically sets optimal adjustments in a system and is capable to increase application performance by 394%. At the same time individual optimization of any workflow, including standard applications of independent software suppliers and own runtime programs of the client is provided.

• Automatic adjustment of a configuration of systems. When the solution the supported application is activated and started, the program automatically configures configuration settings (the CPU, memories, storage systems, the graphic processor and the operating system). As a result, when the employee switches between applications and projects — for example, passes from the difficult drawing of a CAD to visualization of the project in high resolution — system performance is quickly optimized, explained in the company.
