2019

Entry into the Russian market

On June 18, 2019 it became known of Documentolog entry into the Russian market. For this purpose the Kazakhstan developer of the electronic document management systems (EDMS) invests $1.5 million, and further investments can reach "several million dollars", the CEO of the company Bayzhan Kanafin in an interview to Kommersant reported.

Documentolog registered legal entity (Documentolog LLC) and opened office in St. Petersburg. In Russia the company will propose two cloud solutions: EDMS Documentolog and its simplified version for medium and small business of Doculite. Documentolog considers that solutions of the company can be interesting to clients in the Russian Federation taking into account a course towards import substitution.

The Kazakhstan EDMS Documentolog developer enters the Russian market

With the due marketing support including directed to building of the sales channel it is quite possible to predict income at the level of several hundred millions of rubles a year — the Chief Editor of Tadviseraleksandr Levashov considers.

The technical area director BPM also ECM CROC Sergey Plaunov emphasized that for state customers important that a system was created on the basis of the product included century register of the Russian software.

Documentolog is going to advance independently itself in the Russian market, without resorting to the help of system integrators. But Rostelecom can become the partner in a hosting, and further and on sales, Bayzhan Kanafin said. Rostelecom abstains from comments about this cooperation.

According to the director of the department of document management systems Lanita Alexander Rodionov, the Russian market of electronic document management systems is rather competitive and has no pronounced leader. For entry into this market big investments are necessary, he is sure.

Documentolog is considered one of the largest companies in an EDMS segment in Kazakhstan where services including many clients from a public sector.^[1]

For April, 2019 the Documentolog system totals more than 200 thousand users.

Specific Features

Documentolog is completely Kazakhstan development, has ability to integrate with any external information systems (1C, SAP and dr). A system can be installed locally on the customer's server, or on servers of the supplier on the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. Depending on the selected configurations and the number of users, a system is installed in terms from 1 to 4 weeks. 20 preset report models and also an opportunity to design reports independently are available.

Possibilities of EDMS Documentolog

• Configuring of business processes in Documentolog does not require programming. Everything occurs in a graphic type. A system supports a notation of BPMN 2.0.
• There is free mobile application Documentolog for operating systems iOS and Android with support EDS;

2018

Start of the portal of a customer support of Documentolog

In 2018 the portal of support for clients of Documentolog — "Personal Account of the User" is started. The purpose of creation of the portal is automation of submission of requests within license and technical support and increase in efficiency of customer interaction.

Announcement of Documentolog of version 7

In 2018 the version of EDMS Documentolog 7 which includes such opportunities as "smart" analytics, management of budget process, the built-in integration with KTSOED DOC24.kz is submitted.

2017

As of February, 2017:

• Documentolog is 100% the Kazakhstan product. All development cycle and implementations passes locally
• in Kazakhstan that allows to provide quality and speed of development of new modules and modification of the current functionality.
• Thanks to open technologies, in Documentolog there is no hidden cost. It allows to reduce the implementation cost and total cost of ownership.
• Implementation and start of a system perhaps as soon as possible (up to 1 month).

2014: Release of Documentolog of version 5.0

Documentolog release version 5.0 in which are for the first time presented support of the EDS types approved in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan: NUTs RK and UTs GO.

2013: The first experience of implementation of Documentolog on the SAAS model

The first experience of implementation of EDMS Documentolog on the SAAS model (Software-as-a-Service) in National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Atameken on 1500 users.

2012: Release 4 of the version of Documentolog

Release 4 of the version of the Documentolog system. Based on this platform an opportunity appeared not only to quickly automate any business processes organizations, including document flow, but also to create the whole business solutions, such as CRM HRM purchase management project management, automation of service Service Desk and many others. This version of a system became known in the market of Kazakhstan and was implemented in many large state and private companies, noted in developer company Documentolog.

2010: Appointment and features of a system

As of January, 2010 Documentolog is the web focused automation system of work with documents. Documentolog supports all complex of the functions inherent in electronic document management systems (creation, registration, mailing, execution control, formation put, access control to documents, maintaining qualifiers and reference books, joint work). Meanwhile, Documentolog contains tool kit which allows to create any document types, without being limited inherent in traditional office-work (for example, entering, outgoing or organizational and administrative), to define possible functions of these documents and to describe their routes of the movement for all lifecycle. Creation new and change of the existing document types is performed without programming and can be executed by business users, i.e. people who do not have profound knowledge in information technology field.

1. The low price and total cost of ownership caused by basing of a system on the basis of free technologies with the open code (for example, it is used free and having good reputation DBMS PostgreSQL), lack of the hidden cost, use of thin clients, lack of need for programming for creation and maintenance of any functionality and involvement of expensive IT specialists and so forth.

2. Documentolog is completely configured software solution. It means that it can be configured quickly by means of the graphical interface without programming under specific needs of business.

3. One of characteristics of traditional electronic document management systems is the quantity of the supported document types (entering proceeding orders, agreements and so forth). Documentolog allows the administrator in 30–60 minutes in a graphics mode to create any document type with the corresponding behavior, offering qualitatively a different approach to automation of work with documents.

4. Documentolog contains elements of Business Process Management Suite (BPMS), supporting modeling by means of tabular notations, execution and business process optimization, management of documents, group work and application integration. 2009: Release 3 versions of Documentolog

Release 2 versions of an information system of electronic document management and business process automation of Documentolog. A system was not still full-function EDMS, but already allowed to show to potential clients of feature and advantage of architecture.

2007: The first prototype of Documentolog
