The construction of the complex began in 2020 as part of the Strategy for the Development of the Chemical and Petrochemical Complex of Russia. The company will receive raw materials from two nearest oil refineries - TAIF-NK and TANECO. The volume of supplies is determined until 2030.

The project implements modern environmental solutions worth more than ₽5 billion. CO2 emissions are 10% lower than the best available technologies, nitrogen oxide emissions are six times lower than Russian standards and two times lower than European ones.

The company has created 313 jobs, of which 65% are internal employees of the company, 35% are attracted specialists. More than 90% of employees have higher education, about 30% - engineering and technical workers.

The products of the complex will be used for the production of polymers at the enterprises "Nizhnekamskneftekhim" and "Kazanorgsintez." The complex is connected by an ethylene pipeline to Kazanorgsintez, where commissioning work on the reconstruction of the reactor unit is already being completed.

Nizhnekamskneftekhim also plans to use the products for new projects - the production of hexene, styrene chain and metallocene polyethylene.[1]
