2023: VP-30P

On December 18, 2023, Eltex announced the launch of a pre-production production of the Eltex VP-30P IP phone. The model is designed to meet the needs of modern corporate communication and provides ample application opportunities.

According to the company, the phone uses voice codecs that implement HD Voice technology. Efficient compression algorithms ensure optimal voice quality, which is especially important for business conversations and conference calls.

The main codecs for VoIP (G.711, G.726, G.729, etc.) and additional sound processing functions are supported, for example, comfortable noise generation, echo cancellation, etc. In future versions, broadband codecs G.722, OPUS, AMR-WB will be supported. VP-30P is equipped with a 4.3-inch color display with a resolution of 800 × 480 pixels. On a large display, it is easy to find settings and access the necessary information.

Next to the phone screen are 10 programmable keys with dynamic function assignment. The line status tracking function of other subscribers is available by means of light indicators (BLF). In addition, you can reassign 4 keys under the screen and navigation buttons for yourself. On each side of the dial panel there are 4 keys for quick access to the most used functions.

VP-30P supports Ethernet (PoE +) power technology. With the built-in 1 Gb/s dual-port switch, the phone and computer connect to the data network over one physical line - one access switch port. This reduces the number of cables at the workplace, simplifies the connection of devices and their interaction with each other. Wired headsets are supported to help you negotiate in free hand mode. A RJ-9 connector on the back of the phones is used to connect.

The 2-core 64-bit ARM processor provides optimal performance and broad functionality. Traffic tagging mechanisms (QoS 802.1p, DSCP) will help prioritize its transmission and protection in data networks. The IP phone VP-30P has flexible network settings. It can use both a static IP address and a dynamic one received via DHCP. Security is provided by encrypting traffic and using the Radius protocol to register on the corporate network. Up to 6 SIP accounts are connected to the phone. This allows you to use multiple phone numbers on the same device. For each account, you can configure a separate ringtone to distinguish between incoming calls.

VP-30P is equipped with an interface for connecting the Eltex VP-EXT22 extension console. Up to three consoles can be used with one phone at a time. The connection is made through the RJ-25 connector located on the back of the phone. The expansion console is equipped with a large color display, 22 function keys with backlighting, status indication (BLF) and other functions, as well as three keys for switching pages. Thus, up to 66 additional phone function keys are programmed per expansion console. The use of the console is VP-EXT22 relevant for those who work with a large number of contacts and need quick access to them. The BLF function allows you to: monitor the current state of the lines of other subscribers on the console screen (they are busy or idle); display the number of the caller on them; one button to intercept these calls to your phone. The functions of determining the number of the caller to another party and picking up a call from the console will be available in future updates.

VP-30P integrates into the corporate network and is supported by the main IP PBXs in the market. Devices are managed and monitored via the web interface and SSH. Eltex AutoProvision will help you optimize automatic software updates and phone auto configuration.

2022: PoE-enabled VP-20

On May 31, 2022, Eltex announced the pre-production release of the VP-20 IP phone. Versions with and without PoE support will be available. Eltex creates technology products for business that can help solve many of its problems. VP-20 is one of them. This is an enterprise-grade IP phone with extensive applications:

Display

VP-20 is the older model in the Eltex line of IP phones with a color LCD display. Its resolution is 800×480 px (WVGA), the diagonal is 4.3 inches. Due to its high pixel density and customizable backlight, it is easy to read incoming information from the display even with long work with the phone.

Ergonomics, usability

The materials used and the verified ergonomics of the case and tube VP-20 make working with the device quite comfortable. The phone's material is a durable matte plastic that minimizes the tube slipping out of the hand when talking for long periods. A removable two-position stand will help to place the VP-20 on the table, including almost vertically.

The design uses a symmetrical design of the front panel of the phone. Due to this, it is easy to remember the location of the keys and speed up the execution of actions.

The speed of working with an IP phone is also facilitated by the dynamic assignment of functions to programmable keys. VP-20 have 10 of them. They support tracking the status of other subscribers' lines using LEDs (BLFs).

VP-20 have all the necessary functions for working: loud, communication conference, working with different SIP accounts (up to 6 is connected to the VP-20), installing ring tones for each of them, working with local and remote phone books, turning off the microphone, holding a call, switching to a headset, working voice with and text messages, etc. On both sides of the dialing panel, 8 keys with a light indication have been added to quickly access the most used of them.

Enhancement of functionality

The number of programmable keys can be increased due to the extension specially designed for the VP-20 console. Its release is planned in the 4th quarter of 2022. The console will have a color display, 22 status keys (including BLF) and 3 for page switching. This will allow you to store up to 66 entries on one console. Up to three such consoles can be connected to the VP-20 through the RJ22 connector.

VP-20 has an additional RJ-9 port for connecting the headset. Its use is relevant for call center operators and those who have to constantly work "on the line" while using a computer.

Specifications

The current processor and large RAM used in the VP-20 allow you to achieve high performance and wide functionality. Due to the supported VP-20 of the main ones for audio codecs, traffic prioritization mechanisms (QoS 802.1p, DSCP), as well as echo compensation capabilities, a silence detector, receiving and generating DTMF signals, high voice quality and connection stability are achieved. Start of serial production of VP-15 and VP-15P models

On July 31, 2019, ELTEX announced that in August 2019 it would begin mass production of IP phone models: VP-15 and VP-15P.

According to the company, the solutions are a logical continuation of the previous line of VP-12 (P), which received a modernized case, in terms of usability and ergonomics. The production of plastic phone cases is localized in the Russian Federation.

Models of ELTEX IP phones were assigned the status THORP by Order No. 2251 of June 26, 2019. Ministry of Industry and Trade Russia VP-15 (P) supports RFC3261 (Session Initiation Protocol) and is compatible with all IP PBXs presented on the Russian market and most IP-PBXs in the foreign market.
