As Vice Mayor Maxim Liksutov noted, thanks to the launch of the system, operators will have access to a wide audience, and for drivers of electric vehicles, charging vehicles will become easier and more accessible. A mobile application for drivers is also being tested. Deptrans calls the system "the country's first multimodal integration system for charging infrastructure." In the future, it is planned to connect other regions to the system.

The popularity of personal electric vehicles is growing, so we are developing the necessary infrastructure for it and convenient electronic services in accordance with the instructions of the Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin. We have begun testing an application for owners of electric vehicles that will simplify the use of the Moscow Energy network. As part of the project, there are more than 220 city charging stations in the capital and their number will grow, Liksutov added.

The first partner, Yandex.Refueling, has already joined Energia Moskvy. Now the city charging stations of the Moscow Energy project are integrated into the application. Drivers can find the nearest station, as well as check whether it is busy or free.

At the beginning of 2022, 2,161 electric cars were registered in Moscow. This was then reported by the head of the Moscow Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection Anton Kulbachevsky. At the same time, the official was sure that in the coming years the demand for cars with electric motors should soar dozens, if not hundreds of times. According to forecasts of the audit and consulting company "Business Profile," by 2030 there will be at least 1.5 million electric vehicles in Russia - 2.3% of the country's total fleet.[1]
