The updated ETERNUS CS800 and ETERNUS CS8000 models create the powerful platform for data management which performs backup, recovery and archiving of data and provides the continuity of work of the companies and compliance to regulatory requirements. The provided generation of DWH of ETERNUS CS optimizes availability, protection, sharing and compatibility of data in different hybrid environments, claim in Fujitsu.

According to the producer, thanks to a broad set of the built-in functions and close integration with software for data management of the companies Veritas, Veeam and Commvault, the Fujitsu ETERNUS CS systems create the highly effective and unified data storage level. It provides the high speed of work of any hybrid IT landscape and control of storage expenses of data. Consolidation of the ETERNUS CS systems and software for data protection gives to customers of Fujitsu the chance to classify data which then are transferred automatically for storage to the corresponding carrier (solid state drives hard drives cloud Wednesdays or tape drives) according to requirements of business and the service level. On March 04, 2019 Fujitsu provided the updated options of licensing of the universal solution for backup, DWH of Fujitsu ETERNUS CS200c based on Commvault software. Fujitsu Eternus CS8050 NAS

On July 13, 2018 Fujitsu announced release of a storage system of Eternus CS8050 NAS which provides information storage for the purpose of archiving and has a broad set of specialized functions. So, according to representatives of the company, the SoftWORM function (single record – repeated reading) allows DWH to conform to different regulatory requirements, and an opportunity to make replication of archives and backup on the basis of instant pictures provides the continuity of business.

Fujitsu ETERNUS CS8050 NAS system

According to information provided by Fujitsu company, archiving of large volumes of corporate data throughout a long time frame – the mandatory requirement in many organizations. ETERNUS CS8050 NAS represents the fast and reliable solution for archiving which undertakes problems of daily backup not used, but still important data. Exit of Eternus CS8000 of the 7th generation

On May 7, 2018 the Fujitsu company announced release of the 7th generation of the platform for backup and archiving of ETERNUS CS8000 intended for mainframes and resource-intensive open system environments. Updates of a system include additional scaling options, the increased quantity of processing nodes and support of solid state drives (SSD) for internal disk storage. The consolidation of infrastructure of data protection implemented using the provided system allows to reduce total cost of ownership.

Fujitsu ETERNUS CS8000 (2018) system

2017: Eternus CS200c S4

On October 19, 2017 the Fujitsu company submitted the Eternus CS200c S4 platform. The system of the integrated data protection intended for physical, virtual and cloud environments.

It protects data of business applications and information in virtual, convergent and hyper convergent infrastructures.

A system is delivered with previously loaded software and the configured configuration that allows to unroll it in 30 minutes and to guarantee smooth operation. 2016: Fujitsu Eternus CS200c S3

On July 26, 2016 the Fujitsu company announced release of the solution for data backup of Eternus CS200c S3. The product is focused on use in hyper convergent infrastructures.

The integrated standby system enters Eternus CS product family intended for decrease in the business risks connected with the missed backup operations, and damage of important information^[1] unsuccessful attempts of maintenance after accidents^[1].

On June 17, 2014 the Fujitsu company provided the expansion for Eternus CS8000 storage system increasing efficiency and availability of infrastructures of backup and archiving of data.

The updated Eternus CS8000 platform provides the automated backup of archive information and the data written in secondary storages. It simplifies data protection, without obliging owners of infrastructures to purchase the additional software of backup. High-speed performance of the updated platform exceeds the highest rates of the industry (more than 150 TB/h) that it is much better, than at competitive offers - the necessary budget on support of infrastructure became less. Now not only to large corporations, but also medium-sized companies well high high-speed performance and high-speed interfaces allowing to correspond to relevant business requirements.

The updated Eternus CS8000 platform creates hierarchy of resources taking into account business requirements, successfully coping with growth of information volumes and problems of infrastructure maintenance. Its flexibility allows to create highly specialized backup systems and secondary file stores and archives and also to consolidate difficult environments of backup and archiving in the uniform device. The architecture of the platform is expected horizontal scaling from the 7th terabyte up to 22.2 petabyte that more than is enough for support of amounts of data without acquisition of additional reserve storages. If there is a need to increase disk space, it is enough to install missing carriers or the structural ETERNUS CS8000 components.

The automated backup of contemporary records and information written in secondary storages is provided in the Eternus CS8000 platform, along with complex methods of disaster recovery. These measures increase availability and provide protection of archives (for example, from wrong actions of users). Unlike additional software of the backup often difficult in management and requiring additional system resources, the integrated Eternus CS8000 platform cuts down expenses and labor costs at simultaneous reduction of requirements to capacity.

Fujitsu Eternus CS8000

The Fujitsu company provided in November, 2013 the new generation of systems for Eternus CS8000 data processing offering opportunities to complex consolidation for all potential problems of the unified backup and archiving of data. System capacity for operational (on the basis of hard drives) backup is increased to the 15th petabyte while possibilities of autonomous reservation on the magnetic tape are almost boundless, reported CNews in the company.

According to developers, Eternus CS8000 provides complete virtualization of all disk and tape systems — as for mainframes, and open systems, at the same time differs in flexibility. Operational data from production servers and mainframes are stored in high-scalable disk a cache memory of the Eternus CS8000 system, and further these data can be used for almost instant recovery, claim in Fujitsu. It is also possible to write data on a tape and for bigger flexibility to store them at the same time on disk and tape storage modules.

Internal disk a cache memory of the Eternus CS8000 system it is equipped with technology of deduplication now that allows to use it as the solution for final reservation. According to the company, new opportunities of deduplication reduce requirements to disk space at 10-50 times. Besides, Fujitsu offers means of deduplication as an upgrade option for users of the systems of the previous generation of Eternus CS High End.

The Eternus CS8000 system is capable to execute intensive process of deduplication in parallel on several server nodes within the internal modular architecture. It guarantees that even the data sets consisting of tens petabyte will not become an obstacle for effective backup and recovery of information, emphasized in the company. Eternus CS8000 can use up to 10 completely independent pools for deduplication that it allows to solve problems of the collective lease demanded by service providers.

At the same time a system offers opportunities for consolidation of infrastructures of backup and archiving even in the conditions of very large DPCs. "Eternus CS8000 is scaled to record values in the industry: more 15th petabyte of data before compression or duplication that for 300% exceeds possibilities of model of the previous generation — said in Fujitsu. — Now the maximum capacity of a system is increased by 50% and makes 150 TB/hour, and it means big degree of protection for computing environments with extremely high level of a gain of data without damage of performance".

The network attached storage of data (NAS) which is built in Eternus CS8000 supports up to 2 million files, is the platform for archiving of data and also network storage of the second level for file data. The integrated synchronous duplication of data allows the companies to use such large-scale platform of consolidation of data without any risk, claim in Fujitsu. The updated function of asynchronous replication provides data recovery in case of accident even between the most remote points, for example Europe and South America.

Fujitsu Eternus CS High End V5

Fujitsu provided new generation of the solutions ETERNUS CS High End which will provide ample opportunities of consolidation in April, 2012 and will simplify the systems of large-scale backup and archiving of data for mainframes, UNIX-SERVERS and servers of standard architecture. The new functionality of ViNS (Virtual Network Storage is virtual network system of data storage) facilitates integration with corporate systems for archiving of files and also for migration of old files.
