The European standard of a professional radio communication of TETRA meets requirements of special users thanks to the technology advantages, first of all - the high connection speed, independence of public service networks, protection against unauthorized access, a possibility of the organization of multi-level circuits of individual and group interaction, resistance to destruction of infrastructure. Feature of the standard is its use as the major transport artery for data transmission, including navigation from the Russian satellite GLONASS system. The complete solution, the integrating possibilities of GLONASS and TETRA, can form a basis for creation of monitoring systems and management of different scale and industry accessory. One of such solutions developed for the benefit of regional executive authorities and emergency services is the Mobile Communication hub providing instant link establishment with command centers and information transfer directly from the place of an event.
History
The subscriber equipment of GLONASS-TETRA will be produced serially on domestic industrial platforms. Such decision is made based on a working trip of the president of Tetrasvyaz company (enters into the Russian consortium ATGroup) Alexander Moldavanov to Italy which took place on November 4, 2010. Program implementation on contract manufacturing of the equipment on the basis of a radio communication of the TETRA standard and the GLONASS navigation system for large infrastructure projects, including the Olympic Games-2014 in Sochi, is performed together with global manufacturer of the telecom equipment Selex Communications (Finmeccanica concern).
The application solution on integration of opportunities of TETRA and GLONASS is developed especially for the Russian market and will be used for the APEC summit - 2012 in Vladivostok, the XXII winter Olympic and XI Paralympic Games in Sochi and also can be demanded when implementing the ERA-GLONASS program.
Successfully completed research and development, deliveries of pilot lots of the equipment of GLONASS-TETRA are planned for the end of 2011 and the beginning of serial production - for 2012. The equipment of GLONASS-TETRA will allow to render together with services of a voice operative radio communication services of monitoring of moving objects using the Russian satellite GLONASS system, providing safe transfer of navigation data on secure channels of communication of TETRA.
