Solutions based on World Data Centre Scalable MDC, designed for installation in open areas: Telecom Outdoor NG and Telecom Outdoor NGm. What is the GREEN MDC Modular Data Center?

This is a modular design designed to accommodate computing equipment, implemented on the principle of a modular building. The modular data center is equipped with the necessary engineering infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted power supply and heat removal from the equipment; fire-fighting, safety and dispatching systems. Like any modular building, the GREEN MDC module consists of blocks - "cubes" that are manufactured in production, delivered on public roads without special permits and assembled at the site into a finished structure. If necessary, it can be disassembled into blocks and transported to another site. The module is designed to accommodate 24 racks with a size of 600x1000mm 47U. Rated power per rack - 6 kW, (maximum limit on auto 164 kW, can be increased if necessary)

For operation, it is necessary to supply power to the module (2 independent inputs), connect the DGP, supply communication cables, water supply for the steam humidifier, sewerage to remove condensate from the air conditioning system and. Although, the latter can be solved using containers installed next to the module, water from which must be removed on the signal of the dispatching system.

Modules of various configurations are used for installation inside or outside the building. The lineup has Indoor and Outdoor options. They differ mainly in the configuration of the cooling system and the design of the supporting frame and walls.

The design of the module and the configuration of engineering systems are developed in accordance with the specifications of TIER III. Redundancy for uninterrupted power supply equipment - 2N, for equipment of the heat removal system - N + 1.

Why GREEN? First of all, it is energy efficiency due to the use of a unique combined system for removing heat residues GREEN MDC - due to the joint work of the system-free cooling and industrial freon air conditioners. This system provides the minimum power consumption of the average annual calculated PUE 1.24

Who needs it?

Medium and large businesses, state-owned companies - to create their own DCs.

Colocation operators - to create colocation sites without significant one-time costs for the purchase of "monster-like" equipment - chillers, DGP, UPS (or DDUPSU). By reducing the requirements for a real estate object (in fact, a hangar or a plot of land is needed to accommodate the modules), a significant reduction in the cost of repairing the building and retrofitting its engineering infrastructure. Moreover, repairs, in fact, are inseparable improvements, the costs of which cannot be returned. Also, the use of the module allows for higher flexibility of the service compared to the traditional DC.

2023

TelecomOutdoor NG Presentation

GreenMDC introduced the TelecomOutdoor NG scalable World Data Centre on May 31, 2023. The model is included in the older line of large prefabricated World Data Centres and was implemented in Russia by order of the operator of the commercial data center.

One of the key advantages of TelecomOutdoor NG for commercial data center operators is its technical and economic efficiency and rapid payback, as well as the speed of development and implementation. In addition, the TONG line is characterized by the ability to "hot" scale, which allows you to increase the power of the data center without turning off the already operating equipment. By doing so, the customer can expand capacity as needed.

It takes 7-8 months to create a data center up to 200-300 racks in a "clean field" using pre-manufactured GreenMDC solutions, while it will take 1.5-2 years for a capital one. This is due to the larger volumes of design, construction and development of as-built and operational documentation for capital data centers, he said.

In addition, the configuration and capabilities of pre-manufactured World Data Centre can be found in advance by looking at a similar ready-made data center and documentation for it. This simplifies the selection and decision process for the customer. After installing Prefab-ICOD, the manufacturer provides operating instructions for all its systems, and not for individual equipment.

The presented commercial Prefabricated data center was assembled and put into operation in the central part of Russia in an "open field." The project implementation period from the moment of its start amounted to only 7 months. In the first stage, 64 server racks were delivered with a computing load of 300 kW. In addition to process rooms, the data center provides offices, a shower room, a bathroom and an unpacking room with a spare parts warehouse.

Obtaining certificates of conformity of fire and seismic safety

Modular data centers manufactured by GreenMDC have been subject to voluntary certification and have received certificates of conformity for fire and seismic safety. Documents were issued based on the results of tests in accredited laboratories "Pozhexpert" and "Alliance." This was announced on March 15, 2023 by GreenMDC.

According to the results of tests in the Pozhexpert laboratory, GreenMDC received a certificate of the voluntary certification system "Safety and Quality." It confirms the compliance of the company's products with the Technical Regulations on Fire Safety Requirements No. 123-FZ dated 22.07.2008 (ed. 14.07.2022). According to this document , the GreenMDC World Data Centres belong to buildings of fire resistance degree 2 and have a structural fire hazard class of S0. This ensures a high level of fire safety of the company's World Data Centres, the quality and reliability of the materials from which they are made. Testing for seismic safety of GreenMDC modular data centers was carried out in the Alliance laboratory. Tests have shown that the GreenMDC World Data Centres are capable of withstanding earthquakes up to 9 points (seismic resistance design 9 points on the MSK-64 scale).

According to the results of the tests, the company issued a certificate of the "Unified Expert System," which is also voluntary. The document confirms the compliance of GreenMDC products with GOST 30546. 1-98 "General requirements for machines, instruments and other technical products and methods for calculating their complex structures in terms of seismic resistance"; GOST 30546.2-98 "Tests for seismic resistance of machines, instruments and other technical products. General Provisions and Test Methods "; GOST 30546.3-98 "Methods for Determining Seismic Resistance of Machines, Instruments and Other Technical Products Installed at the Site during their Certification or Certification for Seismic Safety."

FixedSized MDC ‎

FixedSized MDC Series solutions with fixed size modules designed to accommodate 12, 16, 24, or 32 server cabinets have both indoor and outdoor options.

CUBiC Mini Data Center

The CUBiC Mini Data Center is designed for indoor and outdoor installation. The model is designed to accommodate from one to six racks 600 mm wide. A distinctive feature of such a solution is the ability to move it anywhere on the site or building. The mini data center does not require special preparation of the room.

World Data Centre TelecomOutdoor NGm is open for excursions in Moscow

An exhibition sample of the TelecomOutdoor NGm World Data Centre from GreenMDC is open for excursions in Moscow.

The TelecomOutdoor NGm World Data Centre sample can be retrofitted with all necessary engineering systems to meet the customer's specific requirements and installed on site within eight weeks.

ScalableMDC TelecomOutdoor NGm

On March 31, 2017, the company GreenMDC announced the creation of the modular data center ScalableMDC TelecomOutdoor NGm.

As part of the prefabricated modular data center:

  • HiRef precaution cooling system from Termokul;
  • ABB MSC and UPS from Electro-Profi;
  • server cabinets from Masterwork.

World Data Centre TelecomOutdoor NGm consists of two modules designed for mounting up to six racks 42U dimensions of 600x1000 or 600x1200 mm. The estimated average power per rack is up to 8 kW, the maximum power per rack is up to 14 kW. TelecomOutdoor NGm has the ability to "hot" scale: additional modules are connected to the operating data center, without disconnecting the operating equipment.

2016

GOST R Certification

In October 2016, GreenMDC passed the voluntary certification procedure for modular data centers of its own production according to the GOST R system. GreenMDC products received a quality certificate from Rosstandart confirming its high quality and safety.

The GOST R Certificate of Conformity (Rosstandart Quality Certificate, or Safety Certificate) confirms the compliance of GreenMDC modular data centers with the requirements of the necessary regulatory documents. A compliance certificate has been issued for the following models:

  • Fixed-size World Data Centre for accommodation in buildings and outdoor areas (FixedSized MDC Standart Indoor/Outdoor);
  • Scalable data centers MDC TelecomOutdoor NG/TelecomOutdoor NGm;
  • Modular Data Room
  • Modular solutions with improved disaster and crack resistance (Ruggedized solutions).

Certification of modular data centers was carried out according to the scheme developed for products, the stability of serial production of which is beyond doubt. In order to confirm the compliance of the quality of modular data centers with the requirements of GOST R, all the necessary tests were carried out. Based on the test protocol issued by the laboratory, GreenMDC products received an expert opinion on compliance with the requirements of regulatory documents.

GreenMDC modular data centers can be leased

In June 2016, Siemens Finance and GreenMDC signed a cooperation agreement, under which customers of modular data centers get the opportunity to purchase GreenMDC solutions under leasing on favorable terms.

Siemens Finance has extensive experience in financing high-tech IT and engineering equipment for data centers. Over the past few years, the company has implemented more than a dozen large, multimillion-dollar projects in different regions of Russia. Thanks to the signed agreement, leasing allows you to purchase not only individual elements of data center engineering systems, but also fully ready-for-use modular data centers GreenMDC.
