2022: Introduction to the Smart Device Series with Netatmo Smart Power Shield Technology

On January 17, 2022, the Legrand group introduced a series of smart modular devices with Netatmo technology for installation on a DIN rail - "Smart Electric Shield." This allowed to expand the company's capabilities in the field of smart home. The Smart Panel series includes: a modular gateway (DIN), a smart electricity meter, a smart pulse relay and a smart contactor.

Using the Smart Electrical Panel kit, traditional electrical installation products can be supplemented with IoT functions. The devices allow you to monitor total power consumption and control powerful lighting and household appliances using the Legrand Home + Control mobile application, third-party smart home control platforms, as well as voice.

The Modular Gateway (DIN) is designed to create a smart home system. It combines devices and allows you to manage them through the mobile application Home + Control, being an alternative to the startup package of the Legrand smart home. The modular gateway is installed in an electric shield on a DIN rail and occupies 2.5 modules.

A smart power meter measures power consumption in real time. The maximum current of the device is 63A. The user can independently set the power limit, and if it is exceeded, a notification will be sent to the smartphone.

Adding IoT technologies to the lighting will allow a smart pulse relay. The device provides light control through the application, as well as using wired or wireless button switches. Using the pulse relay, the user will be able to set the lighting schedule and measure power consumption. The product is installed in an electric shield on a DIN rack, occupying only 1 module. The maximum relay power is 3840 W with support for LED lights up to 650 W.

A smart contactor is provided to control individual powerful electrical appliances and groups of sockets. It allows you to set up a load schedule and measure power consumption. The maximum current of the device is 20A, and installation takes place in the electrical panel on the DIN-rail for 1 module.

With the Smart Electric Shield series, you can implement smart home features without replacing already installed sockets and switches. Devices are compatible with all EUI from the series with Netatmo (Celiane, Valena, BTicino Living Now). All Smart Electric Shield devices are made in a single design with modular devices of the TX3/DX3 series and are compatible with the Practicox S series of plastic shields.
