OSRV MAKS provides interaction of a set of devices that is especially demanded in Internet of Things (IoT).

On August 21, 2018 the AstroSoft company announced release of the version of real-time operating system of MAKS 1.5.

According to the company, in the version of OSRV MAKS 1.5:

The fact-finding version of OSRV MAKS represents a basis for creation of industrial solutions. It helps to create idea of a product core before start of the commercial project. What will be an end product — depends on requirements of the specific client.

Change of a logo

On February 13, 2018 the AstroSoft company provided the updated OSRV MAKS logo.

Inclusion in the Register of the Russian software

The AstroSoft company announced in April, 2017 inclusion of own real-time operating system for the multi-agent coherent systems (OSRV MAKS) of century Unified register of the Russian software. The solution is entered in the register on the basis of the order Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications Russia of 3/28/2017 No. 146.

Release

In January, 2017 the Russian software developer "AstroSoft" announced an output to the market of own real-time operating system — OSRV MAKS (real-time operating system for the multi-agent coherent (connected) systems).

In the name it is ciphered "Real-time operating system for the Multi-agent Coherent Systems". "Multiagentny" existence of several devices, "a coherent system" — coordination of their actions means the term. OSRV MAKS provides interaction of a set of devices that is especially demanded in Internet of Things (IoT). In the future a set of things "will grow wiser" and will include several IoT devices at once. The Multiagentnost of OSRV MAKS which will provide interaction of these devices among themselves, – a part of our preparation for this trend.

The company says that the product was created from scratch, without loan of the code. Two years of work and about 50 million rubles were enclosed in development, representatives told AstroSoft. According to the CEO of the company Pavel Vasilyev, the company created a product only on own means.

Differ from OS of general purpose of OS of real time in the fact that are intended not for the PC or multi-function printers interacting with the user, and for installation on the specialized equipment. They serve as the tool for creation of solutions under the specific objectives critical by time of execution and reaction.

OSRV MAKS can be applied in a set of the devices using microcontrollers. For example, in different sensors, sensors and transformers, the systems of the smart home and "the smart city", within the concept of Internet of Things, in industrial automatic equipment and management. Spheres of its application are also robotics, the medical equipment, railway transport, consumer electronics and communication systems.

Development of OSRV MAKS lasted two years

At the time of the announcement of OSRV MAKS supports widespread foreign platforms and also the equipment which the Milandr company - developer of integrated microcircuits of different functional purpose (microprocessors makes, microcontrollers, schemes of memory and so forth) "This company of the first believed in us", - Pavel Vasilyev noted. He added that AstroSoft discusses cooperation also with other Russian producers of microelectronics. For example, about Angstrem T.

Using OSRV MAKS "Milandr" is going to make ready platforms for the different industries: Housing and public utilities, agriculture, retail, etc. The first the release of the platform for housing and public utilities is expected. Representatives Milandr told TAdviser that conduct discussion, for example, concerning carrying out a pilot project in Tomsk where its equipment with OSRV MAKS would be used in systems of accounting of the electric power. In this segment management and construction companies act as her end buyers.

Pavel Vasilyev told that AstroSoft discusses a possibility of application of the OS in the state program "Safe city". According to him, officials with whom his company about it communicated showed interest in development.

In AstroSoft note that the market of similar OS of real time is firmly occupied by foreign developers. Did not find analogs own development from the Russian companies "AstroSoft" yet.

The CEO AstroSoft noted that at the initial stage the company would like to use a situation with import substitution policy in the Russian market and is focused first of all on it. However further the company does not exclude an exit and to foreign markets.

At the time of the announcement of a product in January there are works on certification of OSRV in the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC). Researches in the field of a self-organizing network architecture (Mesh), Internet of Things at the expense of which developers expect to introduce the additional opportunities which were especially demanded by distributed systems in a system are in parallel conducted. Among them — failsafe network interaction, self-organizing structure of network, autonomy of devices (low power consumption, wireless communication).
