2022: Release of "Smart Lock"
The Russian The company, MTS which provides digital, media telecommunication and services, on August 2, 2022 announced TAdviser the launch of a domestic IoT solution of its own development "Smart Lock" for managing keyless access at protected facilities. The solution is a vandal-resistant lock with a built-in radio module that internet of things NB-IoT opens and locks remotely from, mobile application via the web interface, or by calling the to phone dispatcher.
The system is three elements, including directly a padlock on the wireless standard of mobile communications of the Internet of Things NB-IoT, an IT platform and a mobile application "NB-IoT Smart Lock," as well as a traffic packet. The lock opens through a mobile application or a remote command from the dispatcher and instantly sends an alarm when trying to hack. According to MTS representatives, work on the NB-IoT standard ensures energy efficiency and reliability of signal transmission, long autonomous operation (at least two years) and minimum costs for data transmission traffic.
The mobile application implements functionality for the lock user, who opens the lock without a key. In the web version, functionality is available for the administrator and manager, where you can view all objects with locks, as well as allocate additional roles for users. In addition, there you can view statistics on the use and events with locks and a remote command to open and close the lock.
According to MTS, the device is made of high-strength steel and has an amplified antenna that confidently catches and transmits a cellular signal. At the same time, the gadget is protected according to the IP67 standard and is capable of withstanding thirty-minute immersion in water to a depth of one meter, is not afraid of heavy rains and showers, dust and dirt. The lock works confidently in the temperature range from minus 40 degrees to plus 80 degrees Celsius.
"We see increasing interest from organisations and companies with a large number of distributed facilities in ensuring their safety and controlling visits to employees and outsourcers. MTS was one of the first to develop and begin to implement a comprehensive IoT solution for controlling and managing access to facilities located far from each other. Our NB-IoT network, which runs the system, is available in all regions of Russia. It is important that this is a 100% domestic product created within the company, "said Andrei Plavich, head of the center for the development of networks and solutions based on MTS Internet of Things devices. |
Potential customers of Smart Castle can be electric household organizations, heating networks, water utilities, utilities, any housing and communal services facilities, logistics and agricultural companies, retail, etc. The solution will help prevent cases of theft and control the mode of visiting the facility.
