2017: Details about Stream Analytics
On March 28, 2017 the Oracle company announced some details the Stream Analytics platform.
The Oracle Stream Analytics technology combines tools for creating applications of Fast Data and the flexible environment of management of "fast data". It is equipped with the interface expected corporate users and does not require knowledge of programming. Contains the building tools focused on IT specialists.
Oracle Stream Analytics allows use and flow analysis of events by business analysts. The platform allows to describe the sequence and logic of processing of stream data without use of a program code or language of requests - in the graphical interface or without it. It integrates the designer for creation and modification of applications of event handling in real time and the multifunction platform for accomplishment of such applications and management of them. The solution, ready to work, can be received in read minutes[1].
The Stream Analytics platform can be used in combination with Oracle Event Processing for Java Embedded for preprocessing of data, including filtering, correlation and the analysis. The technology is capable to process millions of events per second with a millisecond delay. Software works on standard servers.
Collecting and data transmission in DPC will help with solving of tasks of control of sales volumes and warehouse stocks, identification of the goods making the greatest profit, the optimal location of goods on shelves of a trading floor for sales increase.
On transport it is possible to reach cost optimization and to raise efficiency of transportations due to monitoring of vehicles in real time – status monitoring of the transport park, the notification on different events, including an excessive downtime and also control of behavior of drivers.
Monitoring of road traffic and traffic control - the obtained data can form a basis for the analysis of traffic in real time and identifications of "traffic jams". For prevention of "traffic jams" and informing on a situation in real time is possible combination yielded from GPS sensors and analysis results of trends.
Stream data analysis on railway transport will give the chance in real time dynamically to create a picture of changes on all railway system and to see location of the rolling stock, to control time of departure/arrival of trains and motion speed of trains for prevention of emergency situations.
Control of wear of elements of the rolling stock using sensors will help to pass from periodic service of railway transport to service as required.
2016: Oracle Stream Analytics
Oracle Stream Analytics (Oracle Stream Explorer) is the graphic tool allowing to understand easily and informatively an essence of "fast data".
REST, JMS queues, Kafka, etc. are data sources.
Before software Oracle Stream Explorer was called being a part of the SOA platform. In 2016 the name of a product was changed to Oracle Stream Analytics (OSA) and entered into structure of the integration Oracle platform, together with:
- Data Integrator
- GoldenGate
- Metadata Management
- Data Quality
- Big Data Preparation Cloud Service
- Data Service Integrator
OSA uses Kafka at the level of a source and the receiver. There is a possibility of parallelization of tasks between nodes for scaling of performance using Spark.
