Test for compatibility with call-center "Proteus," Digital2Speech and "Argus WFM CC"
On August 13, 2020, SCALA-R announced that three systems related to the organization of contact centers were successfully tested for compatibility with the SCALA-R hyperconverged platform: a contact center manufactured by STC PROTEI LLC, a dialogue platform Digital2Speech manufactured by BSS, a workload management system for the ARGUS WFM CC contact center manufactured by STC ARGUS LLC. The tests demonstrated the correct operation of all solutions in the virtualization environment of the hyperconverged infrastructure SCALA-R. The results of the tests are confirmed by certificates, and SCALA-R is recommended by manufacturers as a corporate platform for contact centers.
To avoid downtime and failures, the reliability of contact centers and systems that are responsible for organizing their operation must be ensured at the basic level. It largely depends on the platform on which the system runs. SCALA-R's enterprise IT computing infrastructure does a good job of ensuring fault tolerance. The complex is based on software-defined storage, which, due to data replication between virtualization hosts, retains access to important information even if one of the servers fails. This will allow contact center specialists to successfully continue working in any situation.
The security of the data with which operators work is another important requirement. Certified information protection mechanisms built into the SCALA-R hyperconverged infrastructure will help protect data (including personal) from any illegal actions: copying, distributing, changing or leaking. SCALA-R cooperates with leading security developers to ensure security at all levels of enterprise platform virtualization.
Testing of systems in the SCALA-R virtualization environment was carried out in full functional scope at peak load. SCALA-R specialists tested the contact center of PROTEI-RV for the correct processing of incoming calls, distribution of operators to skill groups, operation of the voice menu, transfer of a call from the operator to the expert, outgoing calling of subscribers according to the schedule and lists. At the same time, the integration of the contact center with the Digital2Speech dialog platform from BSS was tested. The call was first processed in one system using a voice assistant and chatbot, and then transferred to another. To check the workload management system, an external employee base was connected to the ARGUS WFM CC contact center manufactured by STC ARGUS LLC. Load balancing and contact center monitoring tests were performed in real time. Tests have confirmed that at maximum workload in the SCALA-R virtualization environment, all systems function smoothly.
Our experience in implementing IP contact centers includes more than 100 successful projects of various levels from national platforms to small commercial call centers. Therefore, we took with interest the idea of using the SCALA-R computing infrastructure to deploy the PROTEI-RV contact center. Testing has confirmed the compatibility of our solutions. We are ready to recommend the Skala-R platform for the organization of contact centers according to the service model, - says Maria Semenova, PR manager of STC PROTEI LLC |
The joint use of SCALA-R and solutions for organizing the work of contact centers will help to get the required level of service, avoid the cost of additional information protection tools. The platform is easily scalable, which is especially important with the multiple growth of the client base and the number of employees. The SCALA-R corporate IT computing infrastructure will ensure uninterrupted operation of medium and large contact centers, even if their branches are physically removed from each other.
Working with Russian software developers, we provide our customers with a choice of competitive and equally functional integrated solutions that meet all security requirements. Having tested three systems at once, we simulated the operation of the contact center with real loading. The tests ended with excellent results and showed that SCALA-R can be successfully used in this area. We do not exclude joint projects with contact center manufacturers in the future and offer integrators who work in the field of telephony to pay attention to our virtualization platform for use as an infrastructure for creating high-performance and scalable contact centers that provide a high class of security when working with personal data. - says Svyatoslav Sorokin, Director of Product Development at SCALA-R |

The ability for server manufacturers to create hyperconverged complexes based on Skala-R
On October 18, 2019, IBS announced that server manufacturers will be able to create hyperconverged complexes based on the IBS reference architecture under their own brand name. The Scala-R software components for virtualization, management, monitoring and information security, as well as the recommendations of our experts, will help them in this. Manufacturers will also be provided with access to documentation, a training program and a knowledge base.
Also, the Skala-R architecture will be able to use system integrators: they will be given the opportunity to assemble and supply hardware platforms, install software and support PAC in the future.
This approach will enable customers to move to a state-of-the-art hyperconverged IT infrastructure without changing enterprise standards to hardware platforms. On the first line of technical support, the customer will have a manufacturer or supplier, and IBS will be responsible for the second line, development and updating of the platform.
Both options involve the delivery to customers of ready-made complexes based on certified hardware platforms, which will ensure the performance and usability of a hyper-converged IT infrastructure. As of October 2019, the following server models are certified:
- DEPO Storm : 3400Z2, Storm 3450Z2, Storm 3450A2,
- DELL PowerEdge : R740xd,
- STRENGTH: SR2-1427,
- HPE ProLiant : DL380,
- Cisco UCS : C240 M5 Rack Server,
- NT: TD 380,
- Intel: R2224WFTZSR 986051.
Soon, the Aquarius platform should appear on this list, testing and certification of IRU, Huawei and Kraftway servers are planned.
Russian companies sometimes use hardware platforms of one manufacturer as a corporate standard, so that software and hardware complexes built on another hardware platform may not be considered. Therefore, we decided to test the most popular server models of domestic and world manufacturers and prepare configurations of the reference architecture, which we will also supplement with our methodological and technical support, commented Svyatoslav Sorokin, Director of Product Development, Skala

Support for vGate
On June 17, 2019, IBS Interlab reported that the hyperconverged IT infrastructure of Skala-R received support from vGate.
According to the company, for organizations that work with personal data, the use of Skala-R and vGate will simplify the certification of the IT infrastructure for security requirements. Also, companies that have already protected the virtual infrastructure with vGate will be able to maintain investments when switching to Russian hyper-converged solutions. Russian hyperconverged IT infrastructure Skala-R is a universal solution for building scalable virtualized data centers. Often, Skala-R is used as an infrastructure basis for the creation and operation of state information systems up to the 1st class of security that process personal data.
When building such systems, the company should be sure that all elements are guaranteed to be compatible with each other, there are no sanctions risks, and information protection of the system contour is implemented in accordance with the orders and regulations of controlling organizations. told Svyatoslav Sorokin, Skala-R Product Director |
When choosing an IT infrastructure for such scenarios, it is necessary to find out whether it meets the regulatory requirements for information protection, whether it will be possible to qualify the information system. It is also necessary to assess whether the certification process will be simple, predictable and will not require significant additional financial investments. |
To solve these problems, experts from the IBS Center for Security Technologies are developing a technological partnership with Russian manufacturers of information protection tools. Previously, vGate provided support only for foreign-made virtualization systems. Now the first Russian solution has appeared on the list - the hyperconverged IT infrastructure Skala-R.
Support for the Scala-P solution is provided in vGate, starting with version 4.1. The combination of Skala-R and vGate can be used as a platform for building state information systems up to the 1st security class and processing personal data up to the 1st security level. For such systems, certification for information security requirements is mandatory.

"Rock-R" integrated with Scorocode
The Skala-R hardware and software complex is available to customers with the Russian Scorocode platform. The platform allows you to accelerate the development of mobile, web and enterprise applications up to 50% by implementing the most common functionality of the server part of applications and means of visual prototyping and code generation.
The bundle of Russian products allows you to provide a ready-made IT infrastructure out of the box with an already pre-installed development environment and a single support point, designed for storing and processing critical data and ready for modular scaling. The solution is suitable for companies developing corporate mobile, web and hybrid applications, as well as for banks and telecom companies that have their own development departments.
The solution was tested by the joint team of IBS Interlab and Scorocode: functional testing showed full compatibility of Scorocode platform modules with the equipment of the Skala-R complex. Load testing demonstrated high results using the minimum Skala-P configuration. For example, tests of the mongoDB DBMS used in the Scorocode platform recorded an average result of 40,000 operations/second, which is an excellent indicator for this DBMS.
The tests have confirmed the operability of the combined Russian platform, which allows you to store, process and manage data, as well as carry out rapid development and modernization of applications thanks to the pre-configured server part (backend).
"Rock-R with a pre-installed Scorocode platform will be a solution for companies that develop applications in-house or with the help of external contractors and, for a number of reasons, should use their own data center for this task, not a public cloud. Our solution will allow you to quickly and flexibly allocate computing resources for the purposes of development, functional and load testing and further support. Separately, it should be noted that in a situation where the resources of the implemented complex will no longer be enough, it can be scaled horizontally by adding the required number of nodes. Additional settings of equipment and software will not be needed, the system will be balanced automatically, "said Andrei Sungurov, director of IBS Interlab.
"Rock-R" is integrated with Kaspersky Security
On May 19, 2017, IBS announced that it had achieved compatibility of the Skala-R hardware and software complex with the Kaspersky Security security solution for the virtual environment.
Joint efforts of IBS, Kaspersky Lab specialists and virtualization technology provider Rosplatforma ensured full compatibility of Kaspersky Security product for virtual environments with components of the Skala-R hyperconverged platform. Functional and load testing confirmed the effectiveness of the use of computing resources while maintaining a high level of information security of guest virtual machines on the Windows and Linux platforms, including the Russian Alt Linux SPT 7 distribution.
The integration of two products helps you get a virtualization technology stack with information security. As of May 19, 2017, IBS supplies Kaspersky Security solutions for virtual environments as part of the Skala-R complex.
In the process of interaction between IBS and Kaspersky Lab specialists, a test bench was deployed, which included all the necessary elements of the virtual infrastructure of the Skala-R hyperconverged platform, as well as Kaspersky Security components for virtual environments. Test virtual machines running Windows and Linux operating systems were prepared, on which a lightweight protection agent was installed. In addition, Kaspersky Lab experts have finalized a light agent for the Russian Alt Linux SPT 7 operating system to implement projects as part of import substitution. Anton Klimov, Head of Information Security Systems Implementation at IBS |
The launch of a firmware solution on the Russian market, which implements both a high level of reliability for placing business-critical loads, and the protection of the entire complex and information systems from modern cyber threats, is an important indicator that the domestic IT and information security industry has synergy and the ability to create complex but innovative products. Integration of specialized protection with the Skala-R platform allows not only to effectively solve the security issue of a specific workstation or a specific virtual machine, but to operate with large and business-significant entities such as an "enterprise data center" or "enterprise cloud platform." This will allow businesses to engage in priority tasks and not constantly think about infrastructure and its security. |

IBS Interlab tests AVEVA, Global and PTC shipbuilding solutions
IBS Interlab Test Lab presented the results of testing specialized industry IT systems based on the Skala-R hyperconverged platform. The portfolio of products fully compatible with the Russian software and hardware complex was supplemented by popular solutions for the shipbuilding industry from companies, and AVEVA. Global-Marine PTC Creo
Currently, software from AVEVA, Global and PTC is tightly integrated into the production cycle of most shipbuilding facilities.
To confirm the possibility of popular software products based on the Skala-R hyperconverged platform, IBS Interlab specialists, together with St. Petersburg State Maritime Technical University (SPbGMTU), conducted their functional testing for compatibility. The results of the tests showed that the virtual environment of Skala-R is fully compatible with shipbuilding solutions and provides a sufficient level of performance for their efficient operation.
Interlab IBS introduced a line of applied protected systems on the Skala-R platform
The universal industrial computing platform Skala-R is a fully configured system that includes hardware and software for virtualization and data management. Based on it, Interlab IBS experts have developed specialized protected application complexes.
The first of these is a secure database machine. The developed platform is designed to quickly deploy scalable relational storage systems for applications where a high level of information protection is required. In addition to a computing platform, virtualization tools, an optimized storage system, a management system and a scalable DBMS, the complex includes database security tools (DB FW) and can include a means of cryptographic protection of the control channel - administration. As DB FW, the Garda DB solution manufactured by MFI Soft is used. The solution allows operation in two modes: as an application traffic analyzer (included on the span port) and an application firewall (included in the traffic break). As a means of cryptographic protection of the control channel, the SSL/TLS Continent tool manufactured by the Security Code company is used. The complex provides linear scaling.
The second solution is a platform for deploying enterprise applications and secure application information systems. The solution is designed to quickly deploy a scalable computing platform for hosting information systems that meet information protection requirements. Both client-server applications and three-link web applications can be deployed on the Skala-R platform. To protect web applications from modern attacks, an application-level firewall (WAF) manufactured by Positive Technologies is used. To ensure secure access of remote users to web applications, cryptographic protection of information transmission channels is implemented using the SSL/TLS Continent tool manufactured by Security Code. Tight solution integration enables end-to-end user authentication in applications.
When purchasing protected Skala-R application complexes, the customer receives a single vertically integrated technology stack with comprehensive warranty support for the entire system from Interlab IBS. This reduces cost of ownership and facilitates the customer's system lifecycle, ensures the compatibility of individual components, and simplifies support.
Protected Scala-R application platforms are delivered as pre-configured solutions ready for operational deployment and commissioning as soon as possible. The proposed solutions are optimal for government agencies and large companies, including those pursuing import substitution policies.

IBS and BFT complete IT solutions tests at Skala-R
In March 2016, Budget and Financial Technologies and IBS completed test tests of BFT information systems on the Russian hyperconverged computing platform Skala-R. The research results showed full compatibility of domestic products, confirming their reliability and performance. The use of BFT solutions on a domestic platform that does not have sanctions risks and is adapted to Russian information security requirements contributes to the development of an import substitution policy in the IT field.
The activities were the second and at the same time the final series of tests for compatibility of the software products of BFT and the first Russian hyperconverged computing platform "Skala-R," developed by IBS. The final tests were large-scale and covered the line of BFT IT solutions designed for:
- automation of the spheres of state and municipal administration: "ADC-Planning," "ADC-Finance," "ACC-Budget Accounting," "ACC-Budget Control";
- assessment of the effectiveness of state and municipal administration: "ACK-KPI Monitoring";
- automation of property and land relations management: PC "SAUMI";
- organization of the ""system. electronic document management EDMS DoXLogic
Earlier, specialists from the IBS Interlab test laboratory (a division of IBS, which develops infrastructure solutions of a high degree of readiness) checked for compatibility the management system of state and municipal purchases of the "ACC-Regional Segment of the Contract System," which also showed a positive result.
Based on the results of the final tests, recommendations were developed for the formation of Skala-R equipment kits of various series, optimized for a certain load, conditions, requirements for backup and fault tolerance.
The use of BFT software products based on the Skala-R platform makes it possible to create a high-tech IT infrastructure of any scale for public administration in the field of public finance and procurement, land and property management, and electronic document management. The complete solution supports the simultaneous and uninterrupted operation of hundreds and thousands of users, provides a high level of information protection, reduces the risk of technical problems and failures and increases the reliability of operations. An important aspect of domestic development is its cost, which is lower than similar import solutions.
2015
In May 2015 , IBS announced that, together with DEPO Computers, Parallels and Naumen, it was launching a Russian hyperconverged computing platform under the Skala-R brand. The platform is a fully configured module (including hardware and software for management, virtualization, protection) designed to build data centers for medium and large enterprises.
Russian hyperconverged computing platform Skala-R. Opportunity Overview
According to the developers of the solution, on the basis of Skala-R, you can assemble a data center of almost any capacity. One Skala-R module allows you to launch several hundred virtual servers to host various corporate applications, such as the mail system, ERP system, document management system, specialized industry applications, virtual desktops (VDI), etc. Large companies for which the performance of the base configuration is insufficient can scale the data center by adding new modules and combining them into a single virtual server space by software.
Hyperconverged infrastructure solutions are one of the most innovative and fastest growing segments of the global IT infrastructure market, IBS notes. The main players in this market are Cisco, HP, IBM, VCE, whose solutions are popular with Russian customers.
"Now Russian organizations continue to purchase Western equipment for their data centers for hundreds of millions of dollars - so far there has been no Russian alternative in the segment of modern hyper-converged solutions. To change the situation, we are ready today to offer such an alternative, "said Sergey Matsotsky, Chairman of the Board of IBS.
The developers call the main advantage of Skala-R over its Western counterparts the local production of the main software and hardware components of the solution, which gives the customer protection both from the point of view of information security and from sanctions risks. In particular, software manufacturers are ready to disclose the code for Russian regulatory authorities, which will allow certification of the solution according to the requirements of the FSTEC.
Another important advantage is the significantly lower cost: the lcalization of production and the use of effective engineering solutions made it possible to make its price 40% lower than the platform solutions of Western vendors similar in performance.
The IBS notes that one of the ideas for creating Skala-R is to remove the headache from companies about how to plan the development of IT if ruble IT budgets remain the same, and equipment prices have almost doubled.
IBS initiated the project, the architect of the solution, and will also be responsible for promoting, selling and post-sales support for the solution. IBS plans to grow its business related to the development of high-availability infrastructure solutions, acting as a technology integrator under a new brand - IBS Interlab.
The investment of all partners in the project at the moment amounted to more than 60 million rubles, including the costs of equipment and software suppliers, as well as investments in the team of architectural engineers IBS Interlab, who developed the architecture. About 20 million rubles will be invested in the development of the solution in the future.
