Tableau Desktop Professional Edition

Tableau Desktop Personal Edition is the application which allows to analyze graphically practically any type of structured data and to make evident charts, columns and reports in a few minutes.

The version of Tableau Desktop Professional gives an opportunity for work with databases MS SQL Server, MS Analysis Services Oracle IBM DB2 Netezza Oracle Hyperion Essbase Teradata Vertica MySQL PostgreSQL Firebird Excel, MS Access or text files.

One of most essential "pluses" of use of Tableau – simplification of decision making process: data in the form of tables are difficult for perception, and visualization allows to see practically at once not only a problem, but also its solution.

One more advantage consists that data can share directly in the application – and it means that the bigger number of employees gets an information access. Calculations happen on own Tableau server at the expense of what not only the data security, but also high processing speed is ensured.

2016: Tableau 10

Tableau 10 is the processed version of a flagship product of the company with new analytic and mobile features and ampler opportunities of data preparation. These last turn on the means of consolidation of databases allowing to bring together the most different data sources at the level of lines and also filtering according to all databases, allowing to use the uniform filter to a set of data sources.

The new version offers also a number of the new features and opportunities doing it are even more attractive to corporate implementations: it contains more tools for IT administrators to manage different aspects of Tableau Server, to simplify control of the licenses Tableau Desktop and to manage the user logins in the environment with multiple lease. The new version contains also API for developers to write the applications to order working with this software of data analysis.

2013: Tableau 8.1

So, integration of Tableau with language R became one of the most important updates! R — popular around the world, the environment for statistical analysis which is in open access. Also in the new version:

• new analytical and statistical functionality: percentile, ranging, the field of projections, the improved forecasting models;
• new diagrams, as, for example, "box with moustaches" well-loved by analysts
• faster, simple and beautiful deshborda: the improved presentation mode (now all sheets and deshborda can be submitted in the full-screen mode), a possibility of copying and an insert of sheets between workbooks, customization of fast filters, a possibility of creation of more transparent deshbord and a possibility of creation of folders in a data window for faster and simple grouping of data;
• new features for improvement of work on mobile devices

The new functionality was added also to Tableau Server. Here an opportunity to work with Tableau both on 32-bit, and on a 64-bit system became the main innovation.

Also in Tableau Server 8.1:

• Extracts of data of API allow developers to create the Tableau Data Extract file directly. API works with C/C ++, Java and Python and can be used with Windows, and now and Linux.
