Availability to Red Hat Enterprise Linux

The TmaxSoft company announced on November 8, 2017 partnership with Red Hat which will allow to make the database of a corporate class Tibero available to Red Hat Enterprise Linux using Amazon Machine Image (AMI). Thanks to cooperation of TmaxSoft with Red Hat clients of Red Hat using Tibero AWS VM will be able to order and configure Tibero directly from AWS Marketplace.

We are glad that, cooperating directly with Red Hat, we will be able to expand the implementation options available to clients of TmaxSoft — Andrey Reva, the chief executive of TmaxSoft Russia commented on an event. — Our experience shows that Red Hat became the standard solution for the clients using the Tibero database by which reliability and performance for the large-scale Linux platform of a corporate class is required, to the site deployed on them. Now the same superreliable stack is available also in AWS Marketplace. The solution is expected both business hybrid market, and the companies of small and medium business which for growth need performance and security of the database of a corporate class.

The version is available to IBM Linux

On November 2, 2017 the company TmaxSoft announced availability of the latest version DBMS of Tibero for operating system IBM Linux on the platform POWER8.

According to developers, integration will provide the effective solution of a corporate class on costs to the Chief information officers and managers starting workloads in the virtualized data center and a cloud.

Data transfer from Oracle DBMS in Tibero using Dbvisit Replicate

The TmaxSoft company announced on October 18, 2017 conclusion of an agreement about technology partnership with Dbvisit company specializing in solutions for the software of Oracle. Cooperation of the companies will allow to simplify transition of the organizations using Oracle databases to relational Tibero DBMS from TmaxSoft.

In particular, within technology partnership of the company implemented in Dbvisit Replicate 2.9 support of data migration from Oracle databases in Tibero. The product Dbvisit Replicate is specially developed for the companies which want to transfer smoothly the data from Oracle DBMS to other platforms, including Tibero, noted in TmaxSoft.

Tibero offers customers of Oracle the economy of expenses at the expense of licensing model considering only real resource consumption by end users. It also implements the innovation approach eliminating a gap between legacy databases and a new paradigm of deployment of workloads in the virtualized data centers and clouds. This approach combines flexibility of implementation of future initiatives connected with Big Data when preserving stability of traditional relational DBMS.

Compatibility with SmartVista

TmaxSoft, the South Korean developer of the system software, BPC Bank Technologies and "BPC Processing" completed tests of Tibero DBMS for joint work with the processing SmartVista system. On September 12, 2017 reported about it in TmaxSoft.

SmartVista represents uniform family of the software products covering all aspects of processing of electronic payments. SmartVista provides support and business process optimization in the field of payments, including full-function management of card and terminal infrastructures; provides solutions for prevention of fraudulent activity; exercises control of programs of loyalty, personalisation and the plastic card issue; provides billing and management of trade acquiring and also access to services using remote channels of service.

In the course of tests was load tests on the products Tibero from TmaxSoft are performed. At the same time specialists of both companies noted simplicity, lack of critical errors and insignificant time of data transfer. It managed to be reached due to high compatibility of Tibero and DBMS which is traditionally used in the financial sector.

Based on tests experts of the joint working group came to conclusion that the product family for processing of SmartVista in combination with Tibero DBMS shows steadily high rates of performance and reliability.

According to Evgeny Kozhin, the head of department of prodakt-management and architecture of BPC Bank Technologies, the held load testings confirmed fault tolerance and availability of work of both systems.

Joint installation of SmartVista and Tibero allows users to reduce the cost of cumulative ownership of a system on average by 40% and also to take advantage of effective price policy on licenses and technical support. Besides, the customer does not need to carry out expensive retraining of personnel — Evgeny Kozhin added.

Obtaining certificate of VMware Ready

The TmaxSoft company announced on September 5, 2017 that its relational database management system (RDBMS) Tibero 6 received the certificate of VMware Ready. Certification means that after detailed check of Tibero 6 it is completely ready to work in the productional environment virtualized using VMware vSphere 6.

The VMware Ready program is a part of the Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) program which simplifies to the companies the choice of products of the partners certified for work in cloud infrastructure of VMware. Customers can use such products and solutions for reduction of project risks and ensuring economy in comparison by the solutions created by own efforts.

The companies Inspur also TmaxSoft announced in March, 2016 the beginning of promotion in Russia jointly the developed and certified hardware-software complexes (HSC) on the basis of DBMS Tibero for the Inspur TS K1 servers and for the Inspur servers with architecture of x86. It is said in the statement of Inspur.

HSC on the basis of TmaxSoft and Inspur technologies has expanded functions, such as high level of availability and performance, and can widely be used for crucial applications, such as large-scale transaction processing systems, noted in the company.

Within the market strategy TmaxSoft and Inspur are guided by the companies which consider the possibilities of transition from Oracle DBMS to the alternative platform and need the simple solution for data migration. On April 27, 2015 TmaxSoft and "Alladin R.D." announced a product yield of Crypto DB on the Tibero DBMS platform.

"The crypto DB" is certified by FSB. A system implements functions of the cryptographic information protection which is stored in databases from unauthorized access and is intended for security of the information systems and business applications using DBMS:

TmaxSoft tested DBMS on IBM Open Power 8 and PostgreSQL

On May 25, 2015 it became known of results of testing of the IBM Open Power 8 platform and Tibero 5 SP1 DBMS from TmaxSoft and PostgreSQL 9.4. Testing was held by TmaxSoft company. A stated purpose of testing - comparison of costs for migration^[1].

Both selected DBMS correspond to an import substitution trend, have high rates of TCO and ROI and, according to the companies, help "close", both the market of level of the enterprises, and SMB.

Tibero - high-loaded fault-tolerant DBMS, has technologies of a clustering, replication and work with Big Data. Its difference - a multistream transaction processing system, existence of the tools allowing is transparent to pass from acting DBMS, for example Oracle DB DB2, MS SQL without data loss, tables, because of similar logic and architecture.

Tibero can be used without considerable reeducation of the specialists working with DBMS operating in the organizations.

PostgreSQL is the open system having good functionality, low cost, but not having real large-scale examples on transition from the existing DBMS yet. A system well is suitable for new small projects and electronic business, consider the companies testers.

There was version 6 Tibero DBMS

On June 15, 2015 the TmaxSoft company announced release of the version of Tibero 6 DBMS. Among the improved functions - an opportunity for work with object data types and significant expansion of XML-functionality. The update of DBMS passed in several stages, and in the first priority there were works on already going projects where the new functionality was demanded above all.

According to the statement of the company, DBMS significantly increased performance, security and compatibility. TmaxSoft is going to occupy in 2015 10% of the world market by means of its sales.

In Tibero 6 possibilities of processing of large volumes of data, the exclusive compatibility with the competing DBMS for fast migration which are not reducing performance of security technologies and also the integrated means for speed control of work of DBMS are implemented.

In this version of Tibero developers could reduce the recovery time of large volumes of data at failure of a system or procedural service by means of a multinodal parallel method of recovery instead of one-nodal, applied by competitors. In addition in Tibero 6 the unique architecture with the distributed servers and the minimum additional load on a system allowing to increase performance and to increase number of active sessions is used. Unlike multiprocess architecture of Oracle, in Tibero 6 the multithreaded architecture integrated with technology of multiplexing of input-output and minimizing the conflicts at simultaneous access to memory and input-output from a disk is implemented. It, according to developers, provides to Tibero 6 more effective, high-performance data processing and optimal use of resources.

In Tibero 6 the automated instrument of migration providing compatibility with other DBMS is implemented. It is easily integrated with heterogeneous DBMS by means of use of the interface for data transmission between DBMS (DB link). While Oracle at integration with other DB requires manual transfer of SQL, procedures and metadata, Tibero 6 offers the special tools of migration helping to execute automatic transfer of SQL, procedures and metadata of different DBMS, including of DB2 and SQL Server.

Tibero 6 allows to start the applications developed for others without modification DBMS, using SQL Translation Framework technology. The compatibility of Tibero is improved with DBMS MS SQL server and IBM DB2. By means of this technology of the application DB2 or SQL Server will be transformed automatically that eliminates need for their modification, excludes ghost effects. Now the application using the OCI interface (Oracle Call Interface) also to Oracle, and Tibero via the same OCI interface can address API, without requiring additional completions.

To improvements of data security in this version of DBMS fast work of solutions of enciphering of DBMS due to scanning of range of the index for transparent data encryption (Transparent Data Encryption, TDE) treats without decline in production. Integration into external solutions through loading of external procedures (External Procedure Loading, EPL) helps to receive fivefold higher speed of decoding, than by means of the agent of external procedures (External Procure Agent, EPA). Besides, in attempt of change of data of Tibero 6 the digital signature for their modification in the TDE columns from the outside is required that prevents not authorized data modification and provides reliable protection.

In plans of TmaxSoft for the version of Tibero 7 which should appear at the beginning of 2016 - to reach 100% compatibility with Oracle, to add support of in-memory technologies, to improve technology of a clustering of TAC (Tibero Active Cluster) and to improve data protection.

InterBank RS is compatible to TmaxSoft Tibero DBMS

R-Style Softlab checked compatibility of the IT platformInterBank RS and systems created on its basis "InterBank Corporate: RBS legal entities", "InterBank Retail: RBS of individuals", "InterBank FrontOffice: Automation of front office activity of bank" from DBMS the Korean TmaxSoft Tibero company 6 functioning on OS Linux.

Providing to banks — to customers of the company of an opportunity for use of an alternative of Oracle DBMS with lower cost of ownership and not falling under the risks connected with the imposed sanctions of the USA and EU countries was the purpose of testing.

Results of a research showed that the InterBank RS platform correctly works under control of Tibero 6 DBMS. Process of data migration with Oracle DBMS is performed without difficulties. Tibero 6 DBMS is most compatible at the level of requests to Oracle DBMS that allows the applied InterBank RS applications to function in the normal mode without additional completions.

Testing took place in three stages: system deployment is the Tibero 6 DBMS installation and the InterBank RS applications; data transfer from Oracle DBMS in Tibero 6 DBMS using the utility of migration; check of operability of applications of the platform.
