The company "Vetbiohim," which localized production in the special economic zone (SEZ) "Technopolice Moscow," has developed an import-substituting inactivated vaccine "Combovak-Endomast" against infectious diseases in cows. It is an analogue of foreign drugs, but it costs less. This was announced on March 2, 2023 by the head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, which is part of the Complex of Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations of the capital, Vladislav Ovchinsky.

The vaccine was developed in 2022 to reduce the incidence of cattle with mastitis and endometritis, highly productive individuals are most often susceptible to them. These infections entail large economic losses, as they lead to the infertility of the cow and the unsuitability of milk, which can harm people's health. Even with successful treatment of the animal, which requires high financial costs, the previous fish may not recover due to irreversible changes in breast tissue.

As of March 2023, the company produces 36 vaccines for agricultural and small pets, four serums and immunoglobulin, as well as 56 types of test systems for diagnosing diseases. In December 2022, at the Pechatniki site of the special economic zone of Moscow, the company completed the construction of the plant, investing 1.6 billion rubles in the launch of the enterprise. The release of several tens of millions of doses of vaccines will help provide the Russian veterinary market with popular drugs of domestic production. Only in 2022, the company registered four vaccines and established their release, - explained Vladislav Ovchinsky.

Vaccination of cows against infectious mastitis and endometritis is one of the most effective methods of preventing these diseases. The drug, which was developed by Vetbiohim, increases the productivity and safety of the dairy herd, which provides a high economic effect. The Russian innovative vaccine is not inferior to foreign counterparts, but has a lower cost and is therefore in demand on the market, - said Gennady Degtev, General Director of the Moscow Technopolice SEZ.
