2024: Using a software robot

The administration of the Vasileostrovsky district of St. Petersburg began to use a software robot that helps specialists of the department for civil service and personnel to check certificates with information on income, expenses and property obligations. The Administration announced this on March 20, 2024.

Income certificates are submitted annually by civil servants and heads of state institutions for themselves and family members - a wife or husband and minor children. The document contains 7 blocks that must be completed for each person.

In the administration of the Vasileostrovsky district, employees of the department for civil service and personnel are engaged in checking the data in the documents. In test mode, they are assisted by a software robot that checks income certificates for 2022-2023, identifying possible discrepancies or errors. They are displayed in the review report.

Thanks to robotization, the process is accelerated several times: if a person takes an average of 30-40 minutes to do this work, then the robot - no more than 5 minutes. The influence of the human factor when checking documents is also reduced, since the robot is not distracted or tired.

The declaration campaign runs until April 30. Before its completion, the administration of the Vasileostrovsky district of St. Petersburg plans to process more than 100 sets of certificates provided by civil servants and about 100 sets of certificates provided by the heads of state institutions. Reconciling documents using a robot will allow administration employees to devote more time to solving more complex problems.

The city is systematically introducing digital tools to optimize work in government bodies. At the end of 2023, robots were involved in 48 processes in 19 IOGVs.

We continue to introduce lean technologies into the work of the authorities within the framework of the Effective Region program, which we are implementing on behalf of Governor Alexander Beglov. With the successful testing of the software robot in the administration of the Vasileostrovsky district, the automation of checking the income certificates of civil servants can be scaled to other areas, - commented Stanislav Kazarin, vice-governor of St. Petersburg.
