Earlier, employees of Agrodoctor, which since 2005 has been engaged in wholesale sales of fertilizers and plant protection products and provides agricultural support to agricultural producers at all stages, recorded plant protection products in 5 warehouses with a total area of ​ ​ more than 2500 m ² only in weight and volume in "1C: Trade Management 11.5." Acceptance and shipment of goods was carried out manually according to nomenclature lists on paper.

The reorganization of warehouses helped to optimize the collection of data for each individual. But it was still difficult and inconvenient to quickly receive information about the balances in all warehouses, about the movements of products and about the replacement of goods.

Finding a new solution

Disposal of pesticides and agrochemicals is not an easy and time-consuming process. It is not enough to simply know the number of containers or visually determine the volume of bulk. Indeed, during transportation, it may turn out that this data does not correspond to the actual, and additional costs cannot be avoided. The head of Agrodoctor CJSC was looking for an executor among several IT companies. As a result, I chose the integrators "First BIT," as they offered the optimal solution based on the current software architecture.

The main tasks that the customer wanted to solve using automation based on a hardware and software complex were:

  • improve the accuracy of warehouse operations,
  • ensure traceability of products as required by law.

Improvements in the accounting system

Specialists of the company "First BIT" first reorganized the processes of receipt of batch goods in the accounting system "Agrodoctor." This made it possible to move products to warehouses taking into account weight and size characteristics and various types of packages from suppliers. And party accounting was set up in accordance with the policy "FEFO Management of Series Remnants." This made it possible to track the shelf life and rotation of goods in stock. Despite the fact that all the main types of nomenclature were included in the use of batch accounting, the request and their entry will be carried out only in address storage warehouses.

For all 5 warehouses, integrators of the company "First BIT" have included the ability to accept goods for the service of responsible storage. And to account for goods by series and aggressors, an atypical report was developed, which reflects their own balances of goods and accepted for OX.

Also, all NSIs available in the database were assigned data from suppliers - in the form of a traceability identifier and a package corresponding to it with specified weight-dimensional characteristics. Each of the nomenclature cards now has a barcode. It is he who makes it possible to track and identify the product and indicate the total weight quantity when making a purchase.

Mobile software and equipment

Integrators of the "First BIT" connected the TSC TE200 thermal transfer label printer so that Agrodoctor employees could apply internal code if the supplier sent chemicals without GTIN. And also conducted training for the company's employees on internal barcoding.

Today, 3 storekeepers work at the warehouses of Agrodoctor CJSC with Urovo RT40 data collection terminals. The exchange between the connected equipment and the accounting system was configured via Wi-Fi online. It took 1.5 months to implement the project along with improvements in 1C.

The implementation took place normally, without any difficulties. There was no need to refine Warehouse 15, software out of the box closed all the client's needs. In addition, the integrators conducted an 8-hour training for a senior storekeeper, 3 warehouse employees and an accountant.

Automation Summary

Many different articles have been written about the advantages of automated accounting before manual accounting. The experience of companies in various segments and business areas shows that the use of specialized software and equipment not only improves the operation of the warehouse, but even can increase the company's profit.

The introduction of a software and hardware complex based on Kleverens software and improvements in the accounting system allowed Agrodoctor CJSC to increase the accuracy of warehouse operations. Now it is enough for storekeepers to scan GTIN codes using a data collection terminal so that mobile software accurately determines the batch of goods. In this case, the data automatically enters the Wi-Fi accounting system, where a DPE for the shipment of chemicals is also automatically created.
