Opening of order issuing points in Russian Post offices

AliExpress Russia opens points for issuing orders (PVZ) under its own brand in Russian Post offices. The first points have already begun to work in Moscow at four addresses: Komsomolsky Prospekt, 31, Leninsky Prospekt, 72/2, ul. Menzhinsky, 5, and Academician Yangel, 4, building 2. In 2021-2022 companies plan to open at least 2 thousand more branded PVZ throughout Russia, the Russian Post reported on May 31, 2021.

Russian Post is the main logistics partner AliExpress Russia, delivers more than 80% of foreign orders of the marketplace. Since March 2021, buyers can receive an order with AliExpress not only in post offices, but also by courier for a house in 11,400 settlements.

Ability to place orders in Russian Post branches

AliExpress Russia on May 20, 2021 announced that local sellers will be able to hand over parcels to 5,000 post offices and 165 regional sorting centers of the Russian Post throughout the country. From there, orders will be delivered to buyers to their nearest post offices or couriers to the door. This service of delivery of parcels to sorting centers of the Russian Post will allow sellers to AliExpress increase the speed of delivery of orders and reduce logistics costs. The service is available to all Russian sellers of AliExpress - both those who use the services of the Tsainiao logistics operator and those who work with their own logistics.

Previously, Russian sellers could AliExpress centrally hand over orders for further delivery to buyers only if they used the dropshipping service from Tsainiao, which is available in 10 regions of the country as of May 2021, or if they brought orders to fullfilment centers in Domodedovo or Klimovsk. Now, sellers will be able to hand over batches of online orders (including large ones, up to 1000 pieces) in branches and special drop-off points of the Russian Post throughout the country.

Delivery will be subject to standard logistics tariffs AliExpress: 69 rubles (plus VAT) for the delivery of most orders throughout Russia. For the buyer, delivery of orders in the amount of 99 rubles will be free. To use the service, the seller does not need to sign the contract - there is enough existing contract with AliExpress Russia or Tsainiao.

From millennial cities to the nearest large settlements, the Post Office will be able to deliver parcels the very next day after their delivery. To do this, the seller needs to transfer them to the reception point before 18:00. You can send a parcel by courier to a house in 11,400 settlements or to one of 42 thousand post offices throughout Russia.

AliExpress and Tsainiao are actively investing in the development of logistics and support for Russian sellers. In 2021, companies will invest more than 4 billion rubles in programs to improve delivery, expand the postmap network and optimize IT infrastructure for sellers and buyers.

Over the year, the average delivery time for orders from Russian sellers AliExpress thanks to the launch of Tsainiao services, decreased to 4 days. Plans to create a network of logistics centers together with the Russian Post

Russian Post on March 3, 2021 announced that together with the AliExpress, Russia signed an agreement on strategic partnership and agreed to implement a logistics development program for the Internet trading market in Russia in 2021-2025. Partners will offer sellers AliExpress Russia a full-service in a network of logistics centers throughout the country, where the Post will store goods and pick up orders with AliExpress.

The partners plan to expand the network of issuing orders and open under the combined brand "Post of Russia" and AliExpress Russia more than 10,000 postamats and points of issuance throughout Russia. Also on the basis of new and existing Post offices will open points for issuing orders under the brand AliExpress. And already from March 2021, couriers of the Russian Post began to deliver orders from the AliExpress to the house within an hour from the points of issuance of orders and post offices.

In the first quarter of 2021, sellers AliExpress Russia will be able to use the services of fullfilm on the basis of the Russian Post logistics postal center in the Novosibirsk region. After reaching design capacity in the second quarter of 2021, the Post will be able to collect and send customers up to 25,000 orders per day. According to the results of the pilot, Post and AliExpress Russia plan to scale the project and launch a network of fullfilm centers throughout the country. The implementation of the project will reduce the delivery time for goods from the AliExpress and will allow 47% of Russians to receive goods the day after the order.

The partnership of the Post Office with such a large and technological player as AliExpress Russia will give market participants the opportunity to receive high-quality service and additional sales channels. Remaining a universal logistics operator, we, together with a partner, plan to develop a platform for marketplace sellers, providing them with convenient logistics conditions. Already in March 2021, senders can connect to delivery under an offer contract in 30 minutes and hand over parcels in Post offices. The implementation of our plans will make goods from the marketplace as accessible to Russians as purchases in local online stores.
