On March 4, 2016 the forwarding center "Arctic" of the Russian Geographical Society announced equipment of Arctic M vehicles navigation Omnicomm Light terminals, Omnicomm LLS 30160 fuel level sensors and indicators of volume of Omnicomm LLD fuel.
Project Task
Installation of devices of control is executed within the action of the Northern Sea Route dated for the 400 anniversary. According to its plan, during the research expedition, the equipment will control technical condition of all-terrain vehicles, their location and movement, an expense and volume of the filled fuel and to transfer data to a cloud service of Omnicomm Online.
In 3 months participants of an expedition will overcome a route which extent will be 10,000 kilometers which will pass on ice of the Siberian rivers, open spaces of the Arctic tundra, the solder and drifting ices of the Arctic seas of Russia.
During the expedition its participants will carry out environmental monitoring of the Arctic coast and a number of research experiments. Also they are faced by a problem of complex testing of monitoring of Omnicomm Online transport in arduous operating conditions long extremely. All equipment provided to members of an expedition has standard execution.
This research will be one of the most long and large-scale. The command of the Russian Geographical Society is faced by an important research task - expansion of historical and geographical knowledge and promoting of great geographical discoveries. Thanks to monitoring of transport Omnicomm Online in an expedition of last year we managed to collect unique data array about fuel consumption along all route, binding them to GLONASS/ GPS- to coordinates which seriously helped us with preparation of a current trip. Vladimir Chukov, head of a research expedition of "Riddle of the Russian Arctic"

For whom a secret that we test our equipment in extremely severe climatic conditions – annual rally raids Dakar, Silk Way, research expeditions of the Russian Geographical Society Cold pole and "A polar ring". Long operation of the equipment in negatively low and high temperature conditions and also work under extreme loading allows us to be convinced of its reliability and accuracy of transmitted data.
