Korus Consulting experts, in cooperation with the digital partner of the DIY network, Petrovich-Tech, conducted a large-scale diagnosis of the IT landscape of STD Petrovich and developed a portfolio of 55 projects affecting key business areas - front office, commodity movement, logistics, data management, security. In developing the target architecture, experts relied on the company's IT strategy based on the principles of modularity, omnichannel and improving system performance. The development program is aimed at supporting growth, expanding the geography, assortment and partner services of the DIY network.
Petrovich is growing dynamically using the market opportunities: it is transforming the business model, adding new digital services and services, developing its own marketplace, increasing assortment matrices and developing an e-commerce franchise with regional DIY stores. At the same time, the requirements of the regulator, for example, related to the labeling and traceability of goods, are increasing.
For commodity movement processes, STD Petrovich used the 1C: Trade Management platform, which it has adapted to its needs for more than 10 years, but the life cycle of the system is coming to an end. When the question arose of modernizing or replacing the solution, Petrovich turned to KORUS Consulting. Previously, partners collaborated on the implementation of the WMS system, as well as solutions based on the 1C and Bitrix platforms24. Business requirements initiated a chain of changes in the entire IT architecture, so experts suggested that the DIY retailer design a targeted IT landscape and project map to support the company's strategic goals.
Specialists conducted more than 100 interviews, diagnostics of IT systems and business processes, identifying growth points. More than 200 employees of STD Petrovich from 28 functional areas participated in the survey. One of the main objectives of the project was to develop a plan for unloading the movement system. The team identified processes that are unusual for this IT solution, which in the target landscape should be transferred to services that are more suitable for these tasks. The concept of a modular architecture assumes that the 1C-based core will be responsible for commodity movement, shipping, inventory and purchase management, and cost calculation. Specialized solutions will support areas such as POS, auto-order, transport logistics, loyalty, etc. A special role is given to the creation of a single front office, which will allow more effective interaction with customers, increase their loyalty and will stimulate sales. As for the replacement or update of "1C: UT," the decision will be made after the "separation" of non-specific functions and their stabilization.
The architecture is built according to APQC PCF standards - it is a cross-industry framework that includes a structure of 13 business domains, such as strategic planning, sales channels, finance, marketing, and more. For each domain, KORUS Consulting experts have determined which systems need to be implemented, created or finalized. The updated landscape will include more than 20 new IT solutions.
Specialists have formed six project programs - commodity movement, a single front office, MDM, logistics, data management and security. The entire portfolio of 55 projects is structured into a roadmap taking into account business priorities and the necessary resources. First of all, methodological projects will be implemented, including the calculation of real-time cost; front office design, including CRM development, OMS implementation, loyalty systems and promo; taking the TMS outside the "1S:UT" and replicating the WMS.
