Start of service of confirmation of the personality using the passport
On September 17, 2017 it became known that the service belonging to Mail.Ru Group for search of fellow travelers of BeepCar started service of confirmation of the personality using the passport.
The user will be able to load the document into the application and, at successful verification, to receive an icon of confirmation of the personality. It will be visible by search of drivers and will become additional guarantee of reliability of the user.
As noted in BeepCar, a system verifies authenticity of the passport, verifies data of a profile and using a sensing technology of persons compares the image on an avatar to a photo in the passport. Scanning and recognition of the passport works with the help of Smart Engines technologies and Skolkovo Sum&Substance.
The representative of BeepCar added that for users who will not undergo testing any restrictions will not be introduced. The company considers that if the person is not afraid to confirm the personality by the passport, then the trust to such user increases.[1]
