Softline transfers online store for educational institutions to a blockchain

On November 22, 2018 the Softline group announced transition of digital shop for educational institutions on the Aggregion platform implemented on a blockchain. The approach based on distributed databases will give to owners full control over management of the softwares license parameters and content, will allow to assign the rights from the organization buyer to the end user – the teacher or the pupil at school – for read seconds and also will promote cost reduction on delivery of software and content from the developer to the user, noted in Softline.

So far in project focus – customers from the academic sphere. On the school.softline.ru portal for November, 2018 for them also antivirus software, electronic dictionaries and textbooks, development tools, educational content, solutions for work with graphics and for automated design, software are available to content filtering general-system. For example, within the project of Softline provides the licenses Microsoft CSP directly that allows to deliver quickly a product to the end user. During creation of the order on the educational Softline portal, the key is automatically generated in the partner center of vendor using an account of Microsoft. The Aggregion platform automates license processing and does a chain of distribution transparent and convenient for all participants – owners, distributors, resellers and end users. The platform allows to work with any type of digital products and is integrated with any distribution channels.

The platform based on a blockchain gives the chance to all participants of a system to work in a uniform open ecosystem of digital rights management. In case of a private cloud Aggregion acted as the entrusted party, and according to the results of transition the consensus is built between all participants of the transaction and it cannot be changed. It is fundamentally important in terms of licensing process where a large number of participants. Besides, it is transparency of a system, including the platform, and independence of vendor of it, consider in Softline.
