Softline will transfer all its workplaces from Windows to the Russian OS

2025: Transfer of jobs to the domestic OS MSVSAphera AWS 9

Softline Group of Companies, a Russian supplier of IT solutions, has begun a large-scale project to transfer several thousand employees' jobs to the domestic operating system MSVSFERA ARM 9 from Inferit (part of Softline Group of Companies). The project for the transition domestic OS to MSVSphera AWS 9 has already passed the stage testings and piloting. Softline noted the high performance and stability of corporate applications on, operating system the convenience of the interface, as close as possible to the usual (or), the Windows 10 Mac OS ability to flexibly configure the workspace for the usual use cases.

During the piloting process, many changes to the environment infrastructure were implemented in order to adapt it to the Russian operating system, providing and improving the work of users with a file exchange system, domain authorization, working with browsers, managing printers, updating system applications. A corporate OS image was prepared, the ability to remotely support workstations was organized.

According to Inferit, the MSVSPHERA AWS 9 OS is compatible with popular software and hardware solutions, which allows you to switch to the system while maintaining business processes company continuity and user comfort. The system is optimized for a wide range of devices - from conventional desktop PERSONAL COMPUTER and all-in-one devices to modern - laptops transformers with touch screens.

MSVSfera OS is included in the register domestic program obespecheniyamintsifra of the Russian Federation. In addition, as specified in Softline, as of February 2025, certification is being carried out according to the information security requirements of the FSTEC of Russia version of OS MSVSFERA 9, after the completion of which it will be possible to use it in:

• significant objects of critical information infrastructure (up to and including the 1st category of significance);
• Infrastructure with high security requirements
• state information systems (up to and including the 1st security class);
• automated control systems for production and technological processes (up to and including the 1st class of security);
• personal data information systems (up to and including level 1 of security);
• Class II public information systems.

All OS repositories are located in Russia, and regular security updates and fixes are released as part of the guaranteed product life cycle - until 2032 for version 9.

The transition to the MSVSPHERA ARM OS 9 represents a strategic initiative that is of great importance for Softline, representatives of the group of companies emphasized. According to them, the introduction of a domestic operating system will not only strengthen independence from foreign solutions, but will also create additional opportunities for the development and adaptation of the product to the specific needs of Russian business.
