Availability in Softline Store

Licenses of the Inferit OS family of operating systems can now be purchased from the official Softline Store. OS "MSVSphera ARM" 9 and "MSVSphera Server" 9 have great functionality and are suitable for use in both state and commercial organizations. Softline announced this on July 8, 2024.

MSVSphera OS is a universal operating system based on the Linux kernel, optimized for operation on processors with X86_64v2 architecture and is available in two versions:

• OS "MSVSphera AWS" 9 - option for workstations,
• OS "MSVSFERA Server" 9 is an option for servers.

MSVSFERA OS is applicable in state, commercial and educational organizations. To be used for commercial purposes, you need to purchase a license - it is available in the official Softline Store, like other equipment and software from the Russian IT vendor Inferit.

Operating system for workstations "MSVSphera AWS" 9 is installed on computers, nettops, laptops, monoblocks and other devices for end users. Devices manufactured by Inferit Technika with a pre-installed Russian OS are available for order.

The interface is adapted and intuitive to users accustomed to operating systems - MacOS and Windows. The "App Center" makes it easy to find any necessary software from email clients to video games and graphics apps. All this facilitates the transfer of employees to the domestic OS as part of import substitution.

The operating system for the servers can be installed on a physical or virtual server. MSVSFERA Server 9 is included in the list of operating systems available to customers of the Russian provider Inferit Cloud.

MSVphera Server 9 is a complete alternative to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and its derivatives, such as Oracle Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Alma Linux OS, Rocky Linux and is compatible with applications and services for them, which greatly simplifies migration.

The number of operating system licenses purchased is governed by the license agreement without reference to specific hardware. For example, after purchasing 50 workstation licenses, the company has the right to use them on 50 computers or laptops, as well as in a virtual environment - and replace the equipment with new ones while maintaining the current license. The same rule applies to the "MSVSFER Server." Thus, the organization can update the infrastructure and switch to new equipment without having to think about purchasing new licenses.

By purchasing the license of the MSVSPHERA AWS or the MSVSPHERA Server OS, there is a right to receive basic warranty technical support.

Compatibility of "MSVSphere of AWS" 9 with ContentReader PDF

Content AI and Inferit OS, a division of the Inferit vendor (Softline Group of Companies) have confirmed the compatibility of the multifunctional ContentReader PDF editor and the MSVSphera AWS 9 OS. Basic information of WS MSVSphere

According to information for 2017, MSVSphera AWS is a client operating system based on the Linux kernel with integrated user applications, designed to organize multifunctional automated workstations based on 64-bit hardware platforms Intel and AMD.

The WS MSVSphere includes many programs:

The WS MSVSphera is developed on the basis of the open project CentOS and is constantly being improved by issuing fixes and updates.

Extension of the Russian FSTEC Certificate

The validity period of the certificate of compliance with the requirements of information security No. 3174 issued FSTEC Russia to the client operating system of MSVSPHERA 6.3 of the AWS has been extended until July 7, 2020. The certificate was extended in advance, as part of the fulfillment by National Support and Development Center LLC of its obligations to provide certification support services, which gives partners and customers the opportunity to plan the development and improvement of their information systems in a future way.

An inspection control was released and passed FSTEC Russia into the second set of updates for the client operating system MSVSPHERA 6.3 AWS, developed by National Support and Development Center LLC based on CentOS 6.7 and combining previously released vulnerability fixes, updates to system services, utilities, libraries, user applications and the operating system kernel.

2014

The initial version of the client operating system MSVSF 6.3 AWS, developed by the National Center for Support and Development LLC based on CentOS 6.3, has been successfully certified, FSTEC Russia certificate No. 3174 of 07.07.2014.

2013

The initial version of the client operating system MSVSFER 6.3 of the AWS, developed by the National Center for Support and Development LLC based on CentOS 6.3, is submitted for certification in the certification system of tools information protection FSTEC Russia according to the scheme for testing samples of products for serial production for compliance with the requirements of the Safety Assignment and the guiding document "Safety. information technology Criteria for assessing the security of information technologies, "as well as requirements for monitoring the absence of undeclared capabilities.

2010-2013

The first certified software products of the MSVSphera family were the client and server operating systems MSVSphera 5.2 Desktop and MSVS phera 5.2 Server, created by the NCPR as part of a technological partnership with Red Hat based on RHEL Desktop and Server, respectively. Their serial delivery was carried out from April 20, 2010 to May 17, 2013, after which it was discontinued.

MSVSphera OS was created in collaboration with Red Hat based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The first and second levels of technical support in Russia are provided by NCPR (a subsidiary of VNIINS named after V.V. Solomatin), the third level, if necessary, is provided by Red Hat and VNIINS named after V.V. Solomatin in accordance with the agreement on technological partnership between the companies. Red Hat support provides an ecosystem of compatible application products and solutions.

MSVSFER products are distributed in Russia and the CIS countries by NCPR.

MSVSphera AWS is an integrated set of open source software for organizing workplaces, developed on the basis of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop. Includes operating system, office suite, personal organizer, Internet tools, graphics and multimedia tools and other user applications.

In accordance with Russian law, information systems involved in the processing of personal information must be specially protected. Mandatory requirements are the presence of cryptography by Cryptocom (KS1/ KS2) and FSTEC certificates (OUD2/NDB4). All these conditions are fully satisfied by the solutions of the WS and the Server MSV.
