2023: Delivery of two ElarScan scanners S2-800KS "
The State Archive of the Voronezh Region is expanding the equipment fleet of ELAR, which announced on February 8, 2023.
Domestic planetary scanners ElarScan S2-800KS has replenished the digitization center in the archive.
Over the past few years, including 2022, six more scanners of the ElarSkan S2 model have been delivered to the state archive of the Voronezh region, and several projects have been carried out to digitize archival funds.
Two ElarScan S2-800KS planetary scanners, delivered in 2023, are designed to create, among other things, high-quality digital copies of books, documents and other originals up to A2 + format, they will help digitize even more documents of historical and cultural value in a shorter time. Thanks to the ElarScan optical system, S2 allows you to obtain images in ultra-high quality and with "natural" color reproduction, and also makes it possible to digitize documents of any degree of preservation in a safe, contactless mode - from modern to dilapidated and damaged by time.
Materials of the funds of the state archive of the Voronezh region are in demand both by ordinary users and in scientific and local history circles. For example, the book fund contains materials from the book meetings of the Voronezh Scientific Archival Commission, the provincial statistical committee, the provincial council, books from libraries, schools, monasteries of the Voronezh diocese, metric books that are especially in demand during genealogical research. The funds include book monuments, including manuscript books of the XVII century.
Digital copies of documents made on ELAR scanners are also uploaded to the IPS CPF VO (Information System for the Digital Fund for the Use of the Voronezh Region) and are available for remote viewing by users.

Delivery of two ElarScan S2-800KS
Two domestic glider scanning complexes ElarSkan S2-800KS have been delivered to the State Archive of the Voronezh Region. Elar announced this on September 28, 2022.
Using these scanners, archive employees plan to digitize especially valuable and most popular documents, as well as documents in poor physical condition. The archives contain documents, including those with the status of book monuments, covering the period from the end of the 17th century, as well as metric books, books from libraries, schools, monasteries of various churches of the Voronezh diocese. All these documents have great historical value and are in demand by researchers and ordinary users of the archive engaged in genealogical work.
Cooperation between ELAR and the State Archive of the Voronezh Region has been going on for several years, - over the past few years, six more scanners of the ElarScan S2 model have been delivered to the archive, and several projects have been carried out to digitize archive funds. The presented replenishment in the fleet of professional scanning equipment will make it possible to increase the volume of digitization and reduce its time.
