The holding is formed in September, 2008 according to the government decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan, being its only shareholder.

Primary activity of JSC Zerde Holding is directed to effective management of legal entities which shares are transferred to payment of the placed shares of holding. Managing share blocks of subsidiary companies, the Holding creates favorable conditions for improving competitiveness and cost efficiency of the infocommunication industry, development of infocommunication resources and standards, stimulation of investment and innovation activity in the field of infokommunikation.

Ruslan Ensebayev is appointed the chairman of the board

On June 24, 2017 it became known that the minister of information and communications Dauren Abayev appointed Ruslan Ensebayev the chairman of the board of JSC THEM Zerde.

The memorandum of opening of Representative office of RK in Silicon Valley

On April 10, 2017 SMART START project startup – programs of a training in Zerde holding for students and graduates of the higher educational institutions having or getting an education on specialties in the field of infocommunication technologies.

On April 15, 2017 signing of the Memorandum of opening of Representative office of RK in Silicon Valley between JSC National Infocommunication Holding Zerde, Autonomous cluster fund "Park of the Innovative Technologies" ("AKF "PIT") and GVA Capital Venture fund.

On April 15, 2017 signing of the Memorandum of cooperation between JSC National Infocommunication Holding Zerde and Cisco company within which Cisco is ready to finance start of pilot projects (self-service kiosks for remote rendering public services, network academy Cisco, "the digital mine", IoT-network, Smart Lighting, etc.) in Kazakhstan.

2016

The works on development of IT architecture of 4 state agencies are completed

On December 20, 2016 the works on development of IT architecture of 4 state bodies were completed: Ministries of Education and Science of RK, Ministry of Health and Social Development of RK, Ministry of Energy of RK and Ministry of information and communications of RK.

The holding is defined by National Institute of development in the field of ICT

On November 11, 2016 JSC National Infocommunication Holding Zerde the Government decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 695 is defined by National Institute of development in the field of information and communication technologies.

Kazsatnet was a part of NIT

On November 11, 2016 there was a Government decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 696 about reorganization of National Information Technologies Joint-stock company by accession to it of Joint-stock company "The Kazsatnet national company.

The holding is appointed by integrator of the electronic government

On April 11, 2016 within implementation of the Law of RK "About Informatization" the Government decree RK No. 207 Holding it was defined by service integrator of "the electronic government".

Asel Zhiyenbayeva is appointed the chairman of the board

On April 06, 2016 the Order of the Chairman of the Committee of communication, informatization and information of the Ministry for Investments and Development of RK for No. 9-zhb ұ of April 06, 2016 Zhiyenbayeva Asel Zhubanyshevna is appointed the chairman of the board of JSC National Infocommunication Holding Zerde.

Memorandum of cooperation with EMC

In February, 2016 Zerde and EMC announced signing of the memorandum of cooperation in Kazakhstan. Within the memorandum the largest state IT company of Kazakhstan and the world market leader of storage systems and information management will consider the possibilities of the organization of coproductions and also will carry out exchange of experience for further improvement of methods of the state support of the IT industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The memorandum became the next stage of cooperation after development of a prototype of the solution for the analysis of Big Data in the field of "the electronic government".

Receiving the integrated model of quality evaluation of the provided public services with required reliability of analysis results was a project objective. For implementation of assigned tasks EMC provided JSC NIT the platform for processing of Big Data and also competences of the specialists and the program of intensive training of employees (within specialized workshops and trainings).

In the project active part was taken: EMC, the St. Petersburg development center of EMC (CoE), the Research and development center of EMC to Skolkovo (specializes in work with Big Data), InfoWings company (is engaged in algorithm elaboration of machine learning) and JSC NIT (Zerde subsidiary company).

Analyzing data from open sources, project participants could estimate tonality of texts and define their relevance. On the basis of the acquired information the unique model of assessment, on - to the right gained recognition at the highest level was also constructed.

We are very happy with cooperation with EMS corporation. The joint project helped us to master technologies of the analysis of Big Data using hardware and software systems of EMS. On the basis of these technologies we analyzed reaction of citizens to quality of specific public electronic services that will allow to improve these services in the future. This experience will allow us to create analytical cloud services for other government organizations. We hope for further effective cooperation with EMC, the vice chairman of the board on IT architecture of AO "NIT" Alexander Sokolovsky told about participation in the project.

2015

Kazteleradio was a part of Zerde

According to the Order of Committee of state property and privatization of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan of August 19, 2015 No. 1025 "About some questions of state-owned property" and the Order of JSC Information and Accounting Center of September 02, 2015 No. 2535667 the state share block of JSC Kazteleradio is transferred to the control Holding. Thus, since September 2, 2015 JSC Kazteleradio is included into group of Holding.

Bikesh Kurmangaliyeva it is appointed the chairman of the board

By the order of the Minister of investments and development of the Republic of Kazakhstan of March 20, 2015 Kurmangaliyev Bikesh Kaydarovna's No. 16-zh it is appointed to the position of the Chairman of the board of JSC National Infocommunication Holding Zerde.

In 2014-2015 the Holding took active part in project development of Laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan of About Informatization and "About Making Changes and Additions in Some Legal Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan concerning Informatization". 51 regulatory legal acts are developed for implementation of Bills.

2014

Appointment as the basic organization of the CIS by techniques of works in ICT

In November, 2014 the Council of CIS Heads of Government made the decision on giving of the status to holding of the basic organization of the State Parties of the CIS performing methodical and the organizational equipment of works in the field of an information and communication technology.

In 2014 works on start of a "zero" stage of a project startup of G-Cloud were carried out, and works on implementation and pilot operation of different services on the basis of "cloud computing" are conducted.

In 2014 the international ASTEX-2014 exhibition conference was held.

2013: The normative and methodological base is developed for "state cloud"

In 2013 the Holding took active part in development of the state program "Information Kazakhstan – 2020".

In 2013 the normative and methodological base is developed for implementation of service model of informatization using the state "cloud" platform (G-cloud).

In 2013 ITU-6 qualification of the organization developing standards in the field of ICT at the international level is appropriated to Holding.

In 2013 according to the results of tender on participation in the program of acceleration of Fund of development of ICT about 300 requests, including the tender KZSTART were processed. Based on tender five most perspective projects which completed an acceleration course in the Silicon valley where the international experts trained finalists in creation of competitive products and technologies for the market of the USA were revealed.

2012: The fund of development of ICT is created

In 2012 the Fund of development of infocommunication technologies of Kazakhstan for an initiative and with assistance of Ministry of Transport and Communications of RK, Holding and the largest Kazakhstan communication companies was created: JSC Kazakhtelecom, Kar-Tel LLP and JSC Kcell.

Since 2012 based on Holding the Technical committee on standardization No. 34 Information technologies based on which standards and also the regulating documentation on standardization in the field of ICT are developed and approved functions.

In 2012 on development of industry standards of the ICT industry 19 standards in the field of ICT approved by orders Committee of technical regulation and metrology were developed.

2011: The park of the innovative technologies of Ala Tau is created

Within development of new ICT and initiation of new projects in 2011 the research institute of information technologies was created and the park of information technologies of Ala Tau is registered as the participant of a special economic zone ".

Within promotion and positioning of the IT industry on internal and international markets, the Zerde Holding organized the international conference "DIGITAL COMMUNICATION 2012" (Astana, on September 14-16, 2011).

Within providing the favorable investment climate in the ICT industry in 2011 actions for support of development of professional ICT community were organized.

One of the main results of work of Zerde holding became:

• increase in the consolidated group profit of the companies,
• development of the electronic government that provided jump in the rating of the UN of readiness for "the electronic government",
• automation of a system of public procurements;
• development of the infocommunication industry and ICT education. Some of such projects of steel creation of the International university of information technologies, start of the informational portal Bnews.kz with daily visit more than seven thousand users, the Kaztube.kz video portal, social network Ilike and many other perspective activities.

2009: The development plan for the electronic government and electronic services for 2010-2014

In 2009 the holding developed the master plan for development of the electronic government and electronic services for 2010-2014 and also a packet of regulations concerning the electronic government and on information security support of infrastructure.

Election of Board of Directors, board and members of council at the Government of RK

On November 6, 2008, according to the order of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on informatization and communication No. 402, board members of Holding in the following structure are elected:

1. Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on informatization and communication Esekeev Kuanyshbek Bakhytbekovich;

2. Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sultanov Bakhyt Turlykhanovich;

3. Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhamishev Bolat Bidakhmetovich;

4. Vice-Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kustavletov Dulat Rashitovich;

5. Vice-chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on informatization and communication Durmagambetov Erlan Dmitrievich;

On November 6, 2008, according to the order of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on informatization and communication No. 403, the Chairman of the board of Sarsenov Holding Adilbek Gazizovich is elected.

On November 10, 2008 the relevant decision of Board of Directors of Holding elects the Chairman of the board of directors of Esekeev Holding Kuanyshbek Bakhytbekovich and also the Board of holding in number of 4 people, in the following structure is created:

5. Sarsenov Adilbek Gazizovich is the Chairman of the board of joint-stock company "National infocommunication holding "Zerde" (under approval)

Part of Samgau holding is reorganized in Zerda

JSC National Infocommunication Holding Zerde is created according to the government decree of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 668 of July 3, 2008 and the order of Committee of state property and privatization of the Ministry of Finance of Republic of Kazakhstan No. 538 of August 25, 2008.

The holding is created as a result of reorganization of JSC National Scientific and Technology Holding Samau. Samgau was reorganized into three joint-stock companies at once:

• The national information holding of Arn Media (submitting to the Ministry of Culture and information of RK),
• National scientific and technology holding "Parasat" (Ministry of Education and Science of RK) and
• National infocommunication holding "Zerde" (Informatization and communication RK agency).

The Zerde holding is created for the purpose of assistance to market development of infocommunication technologies and implementation of disruptive projects, to formation of unified infocommunication environment.

The Zerde holding sees the mission in transformation of the Kazakhstan society in the intellectual nation through development of the infocommunication industry of Kazakhstan:

• The reliable partner of the state in development of "the electronic government"
• The engine of development of the ICT market regarding Kaznet's development and electronic services
• The managing holding owning a portfolio of effective ICT businesses

On September 25, 2008 the Department of justice of the city of Astana grants the certificate on state registration of holding.

On October 31, 2008 state registration of the avenue of a share issue of Holding is made.
