The joint venture will develop new software and hardware solutions that will allow smartphones and smart cars to interact more effectively with each other. This will enable users to remotely drive their vehicles, access car data and systems from their smartphones, and personalize certain services, including the driving process. Among the areas of work are bidirectional synchronization between smartphones and smart cars, as well as the integration of user data inside the machine.

The partnership will provide Volkswagen Group with access to software products and services localized for China, which will theoretically help the automaker increase sales in the local market.
