2014: Correspondence with the Russian President Administration

On March 31, 2015 grouping of hackers "Anonymous International" laid out the archive containing about 40 thousand SMS messages in network. They were extorted, presumably, from the mobile phone of Timur Prokopenko who from fall of 2012 to winter of the 2014th supervised the Internet in the Russian President Administration (and then it was appointed responsible for federal elections). In archive correspondence begins with summer of the 2011th and comes to an end in October of the 2014th. On it it is possible to trace rise of career of Prokopenko — from the activist and the leader of the pro-Kremlin movement "Young Guard" to the official of Presidential Administration to whom report, including, media executives and Roskomnadzor.

The Meduza edition studied correspondence and published a fragment of expected correspondence of Timur Prokopenko and Nikolay Moliboga[3]about.

If to trust the published data, the CEO of RBC saw the first deputy administrator of Presidential Administration, the curator of domestic policy Vyacheslav Volodin and Timur Prokopenko more than once. In correspondence it is told, at least, about five meetings; the managing director of RBC Elizabeth Osetinskaya allegedly went to one meeting instead of Moliboga.

Prokopenko tried to adjust the editorial policy of RBC. The official asked "support an action" the political scientist Konstantin Kostin, close to the Kremlin, and also drew the attention of "Moliboga" to the materials of media holding devoted to actions for "federalization of Siberia" and a "thin" column of Russian "humanitarian convoy". "Молибог" promised "to be accurater" and suggested to work through news agencies, close to the state, which for RBC — "a relevant source".

Besides, in the fall of 2014th Prokopenko received order from the unknown to deal with Maxim Solopov's investigation about the Russian soldiers in Ukraine ("there RBC caused a stir with article about military in Ukraine today. Yours is necessary tutors a conversation. in general to a fir-tree ear …. "). Prokopenko addressed Molibogu: "From Gromov's device I was asked to pay your attention to this hell". There is no answer of "Moliboga" in the published data array.

Prokopenko and "Molibog" in SMS conversations exchange thanks ("Thank you that you help", etc.). Despite it, in the middle of September, 2014 "Molibog" asked the official to communicate with edition without pressure: "with edition hard lately, I press on them too much", "))) They take offense at my sanctions, call the suppressor of freedom of speech)".

On the same day on March 31 Nikolay Molibog at himself on Facebook reacted to the publication of correspondence[4]:

1. I confirm the correspondence fact. Yes, I actively communicate and meet officials of AP and many other representatives of the state. We — very large business in the media industry, it would also be strange if I did not do it.
2. Yes, I communicate with the state concerning our content (but not I in RBC define that we write and we show, and our editors-in-chief). And, moreover, it seems to me it is normal. Because I sincerely consider that in our country (and the world) a lot of bad occurs just because we talk little and we do not try to listen and hear each other. And therefore that that volume of changes which happened to RBC in the last one and a half years could not be carried out, without explaining what we do.
3. I understand that the form of my communication in some places of this correspondence can seem unacceptable for dialog between media and the state what I apologize for. I was not ready that my own space of working dialogs which never and had to become nobody known will be property of publicity and would like to refrain from further public discussion of my manner of non-public communication.
