2019: Making changes in the ERP system

On September 23, 2019 the GMCS company reported that "Klyokner Pentaplast Rus", the subsidiary company of Klöckner Pentaplast international concern, the leader in production of tough PVC of films for packaging automated production processes in Microsoft Dynamics AX.

The Klyokner Pentaplast Rus company conducts the activity in Russia since 1998. More than 1000 tons of products are monthly shipped from warehouses in Germany, St. Petersburg and Moscow. Clients of the company for September, 2019 are more than 200 food enterprises and plants of the meat, fish and dairy industries.

Due to the start of the third production line using technology of vacuum thermomolding and updating of a MES system the enterprise needed to make corresponding changes to the used ERP system based on Microsoft Dynamics AX.

We constantly work on expansion of the production capabilities demanded by the market. Start of the hi-tech thermoforming line means not only expansion of the range, but also the next stage of development of the enterprise,

For the solution of the standing business challenges "Klyokner Pentaplast Rus" addressed GMCS with which cooperated within transfer of the automated control system from the version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 earlier.

Specialists of GMCS executed in Microsoft Dynamics AX necessary completions for correct formation and also export/import of data on production orders, both for internal transactions, and for the purposes of preparation of the external reporting.

In Microsoft Dynamics AX the full production cycle of all lines, the most difficult of which is the last thermoforming line, is automated. Start of necessary functionality of the ERP system before commissioning of a production system became one of requirements of the customer. The feature was that specifications for integration with a MES system were not. To minimize the risks connected with it and to observe the terms delivered by the customer, practically in parallel with adjustment and start of a MES system we finished mechanisms of integration into Microsoft Dynamics AX,
