2018: Appointment as Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education

As it became known to TAdviser, on December 27, 2018, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree appointing Denis Solodovnikov as Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

In the team of Minister Mikhail Kotyukov, Solodovnikov will be responsible for digital development. Its primary tasks, according to TAdviser, will be:

  • (considering that the ministry is newly created) inventory of systems and fixed assets, registration of them, contracting, work on the national project "Education";
  • the creation of an educational and scientific digital environment, in particular, including subsystems for the distribution of grants and other types of financing for scientific research, university ratings, an electronic database of scientific papers and a rating of their relevance, platforms for checking dissertations for plagiarism, property management subsystems in subordinate organizations.

2019

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, created in 2018, will have to transform the industry using digital platforms. Resignation from the Ministry of Education and Science and moving to Sevastopol

As it became known to TAdviser, on September 11, 2019, Denis Solodovnikov filed a letter of resignation from the Ministry of Education and Science in connection with the transfer to work in the government of the city of federal significance of Sevastopol.

Malodovnikov received an offer to take the post of acting First Deputy Governor - Chairman of the Government of Sevastopol, which he accepted, a source told TAdviser. The official himself confirmed the upcoming transition, but declined to comment.

The resignation from the Ministry of Education and Science is not related to a change in approaches to creating educational and scientific digital platforms, for which Solodovnikov was responsible, the TAdviser interlocutor added: "all changes were initiated by himself" (see more in an interview with TAdviser).

In Sevastopol, Solodovnikov will become deputy acting Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, appointed on July 11, 2019.

Work as Vice-Governor of Sevastopol

September 30, 2019 Denis Solodovnikov was appointed acting Deputy Governor - Chairman of the Government of Sevastopol.
