Directum placed the cloud workflow system in "Technoserv Cloud"

Technoserv company, the provider of cloud services, and the Russian software developer in the field of electronic document management of Directum in January, 2018 announced signing of the contract on provision of services of virtual data center. Directum uses the Technoserv Cloud resources for placement of own cloud products.

Prerequisites

The Directum company since 2003 develops the electronic document management system of the same name and interaction managements. From the beginning of an era of cloud computing the Directum company brought to the market the solution for workflow automation which is specially created for work in a cloud — DirectumRX. Depending on needs of the client service is provided on two models: a private or public cloud according to the SaaS model.

Transition of Directum to clouds started for us medium business for which the most demanded functionality of an ECM system in combination with model of service SaaS is necessary. Only for 2017 the share of services of a cloud service of DirectumRX grew twice — Andrey Ardashev, teamlead of support group of a cloud solution DirectumRX of Directum company told. — So high demand on cloud services of document flow imposes on us increased requirements to ensuring availability, continuity and stability of functioning of the platform to its placement. At the same time the specifics of ECM systems mean strict requirements to information security which should be observed also for the cloud version of our product. To unroll at itself similar architecture, we would need very serious investments. Owing to these factors we made the decision on involvement of specialized providers of cloud services. We use resources at least from two different suppliers — for the main and reserve platforms on which we place architecture of our system. As a result, we work with some pool of cloud providers, but at the same time two times a year we carry out the analysis of all offers of the market in search of new strong players with price offers, optimal for us.

Choice of the platform

Based on the next analysis of Directum stopped the choice on service of virtual data center (VDC) of the Technoserv Cloud platform. Within two months the company held stress testing of work of the platform based on which it noted its high rates. The Technoserv Cloud the reputation and competences of the company, an indicator cost/service quality, level of data centers based on which service, providing requirements to information security of a cloud, existence of the partner statuses on key vendors is implemented became concurrent factors of the choice in advantage.

Service of VDC

The service of VDC rendered to Directum is a complete solution which allows to use easily configured and scalable complex of elements of IT infrastructure (resources on demand — servers, data warehouses, network devices, the software) with access to them on the Internet. The service guarantees performance for the high-loaded systems, data security. The firewall provides protection of network against unauthorized access with filtering of internal and external traffic as from the outside, and in VDC. The provider guarantees availability of the service for 99.95% — no more than 21 minute of idle time a month. Besides, the solution allows to optimize finance and time expenditure of the organization, having reduced costs for creation and service of the IT infrastructure, creation and support of an internal system of data protection.

As of January, 2018, the Technoserv Cloud in general 12 cloud services which are provided "from a box" and as a part of complete integration solutions are available to customers: virtual data center in Protected and Closed segments (under FZ-152), corporate mail, service desk and ITSM, object storage, database DBaaS (Oracle Microsoft SQL PostgreSQL or MySQL) hosting SAP HANA backup, VDI, service of exchange and file synchronization and also additional services — protection from DDoS- the attacks, redundant Internet access and colocation servers(placement). All services are provided to the user on his request and paid for the system of a subscription.
